Saw him a number of times when I lived in NorCal. Always a great show, less pop sounding live. Seemed like a great guy and one of the cornerstones of the 80's Bay Area Scene.

I agree. Used to listen to him 20+ years ago on KFOX in the SF Bay Area where he did a great morning show. He was a conservative, which was pretty rare (and still is) for a rock and roll guy. RIP.

He was basically pointing out the hypocrisies of the liberals (woke behavior) and rubbing their noses in it in an intelligent way. He was also an author of horror/science fiction books and IIRC, had Dean Koontz on the show as a guest a couple of times. Interesting guy.
