These actually are pretty good and filling for three bucks each. They are available in double cheese, pepperoni and cheese, and chicken and cheese. They come with your choice of one of 11 different sauces.

I know people like to bag on Subway here but these aren’t a bad deal considering the current cost of fast food.

The last time I ate at Subway was at Carlisle 2011. My son was with me, and REALLY wanted to get a sandwich from the on-site Subway. It was the same as the other 3-4 times I had eaten at one, the bread was stale, there was very little meat and cheese, etc. Just a bad sandwich.

The best subs in my town are at Doris' Italian Market and Publix, you know the meat is fresh, and when you go off menu, like a Corned Beef, they slice it in front of you.

I was going to drive from Logan, thru NH, to get to Bar Harbor for the second summer in a row, but opted to go see two daughters in Denver instead; also played some awesome golf.

I enjoyed my drive thru NH last year, stopped at the State Liquor Store just across the MA border, nice people, AND even better liquor prices!!

If I go next year, I will hit Lindy's,,, thanks!!

I suffered though a Subway at Carlisle in that era. Not sure exactly which year but I was there for 15 CACs and a few truck shows!

Subway was busy/confused. Selection was much less that in any Subway I had been in. Help was showing me that there were other places they would rather be. Prices were much higher also and sandwiches were less meat!.

Came home and my wife called corporate and made a complaint. Within 2 hours we got a call from the owner of that franchise that asked her a bunch of questions. We ended up getting two $20 dollar gift certificates and what I believe to be a real apology from the owner! The certificates good all over, so we used them as Christmas gifts. Never went back to that location again! but did hit local places in our area a couple times.

I’ve noticed restaurants not listing prices on their website is an annoying trend that has developed since COVID. In their case the old adage you get what you pay for rings true however. The last time I got a steak sub it was absolutely slathered in nice freshly grilled onions, they sure weren’t being niggardly with the portions. :drool:

I have no reason to go to subway, especially since the local restaurants no longer honor coupons.

I can get a brisket pooboy and fries with jerk seasoning for 12 bucks at a local BBQ restaurant. No reason to go fast food anymore after the price increases; chick-fil-a breakfast burrito being the one exception.
