We got hit hard in my general area. Their not a 100% sure if it was a tornado, straight line thunderstorm or both. What ever you call it did lots of damage in a sort of checker board layout. Many boats damaged! We were dead center between two extremely hard hit areas and that saved us many problems

We (The 6spds) survived it OK. We caged the cat and all went downstairs to a safe area and rode out the storm!

Just some driveway repair, a couple branches and a small tree down. Lost power for over 30 hours, Thanks Generac! No communications of any kind till just recently.

Still hard to drive as there is lots of cleanup going on. Got to be close to a 100 electric service trucks and tree service trucks in the general area and they are working hard. They have/will have plenty of work.

The cat is family and there was room purposelessly made for the cat cage in my protected area, designed for just a occasion like this!

Storm rolled thru and took big limbs off my mimosa tree and two different maples. Plus a lot of smaller limbs and scattered leaves. Then electric went out about 5 PM.

The bad part was Mary went downstairs during the night to use the "low flush" toilet and "took a header" down the stairs. :willy: Misstepped on the top stair and "gravity did it's thing" and ended up a the the bottom. :sadangel:

Luckily she is alright with only a couple bruises but also a black eye.

Both myself and the dog Morgan are on the shitlist as we both slept thru it. :leaving:

Finally got electric back at 1 pm the next day so we had 20 hours of no electric.

No one is going to believe her if she tells them she fell down the stairs :leaving:

Quick update. This storm did a lot of damage, it was officially said it had a couple tornado's and a big straight line thunderstorm.

Many roads are still closed as I type this, many without power and much debris to be cleaned up. Much property damage.

The good part if good is the right word, no one died and only a few injuries reported.:hurray:

My wife, me and the cat made out a lot better than many but this is the first time I ever went down to the safety of my basement. A 1/4 mile made such a big difference.

Thanks posters!:cert:

I just got rain here the other day, about an inch.

But Canandaigua, a small city about 15 miles to my east, got hit hard.

Glad you're all in one piece. :wow:

I used to do route sales up there for my Uncle's company. So much beautiful scenery near the lakes. :cert:

Damn Jeff, I'm glad to hear she's ok. Amazing how the dumbest little slips can be really deadly.
Storm just missed us and went to the North and South. Seems to be a small benefit of valley living. The Appalachian chain seems to split up many strong fronts.
