Practically ends the J6 cases and the Georgia case (that’s basically already dead on the vine)
Of course if Trump was to lose the election they would die anyway. If he wins they will push it all to tie him up as much as possible.

And some in here fail to understand that TRUMP was very good in preserving Our Constitution during his first four years, ie Supreme Court Appointments.
Even if you have great disdain for his personality, you need to understand a vote for TRUMP is a vote FOR AMERICA!!

No, not really. It just kicks those cases back down to the district courts to decide if the charges were official or unofficial acts.

The Supreme Court ruled for ALL Presidents and Demacracy.
Separation of Powers. It is bad that after these many years,100's
a ruleing like this had to be made. Common sense. The present
liberal party has lost it and the Supreme Court had to wake them up.

She's the first of three that should be impeached.
This won't stop the Dems to come after him..
You'll be able to have a ringside seat to the whole thing....stopped at some wayside truck stop, watching the TV screen over the diner counter as you enjoy your warm meal as your Tesla charges up outside.

Impeached? How about a public flogging, followed by a tar-and-feathering, and then being run out of town on a rail?
Thank God for Trump’s 3 Supreme Court pics.
And there may very well be more during the next administration.
THAT, if nothing else should persuade the so called conservative never trumpers to vote for him.

Thomas will retire if Trump wins. I don't see any of the ladies retiring. Amy Barrett and Jumanji just got there, Kagen isn't that old, and the Wise Latina, having the best medical care your tax money can buy, will live with her diabetes for quite a while. So unless something drastic happens, even if we get Trump in, it will be at best, a push, and only if he replaces Clarence Thomas with an actual conservative, not a wishy washy Kavanaugh or Barrett.
The one that really needs to go is Roberts, and he's not old enough either. Maybe Trump can release is dirt? The adopted kids? Epstein? Got to be something that made him turn from moderate to closet progressive.

Actually with this ruling there's a chance the sentencing will be moved back as much of the evidence submitted in this case is now outside the scope of today's ruling. The ruling allows this new standard to be proactive if you read the ruling in it's entirety.
This could mean a legal nightmare for many convictions.

Merchan has already demonstrated he doesn't give a crap about being overturned on appeal. With the other cases against Trump falling apart, the Commucrats are desperate for ANYTHING they can get before November 5th.
So the order has gone out to Merchan to move full throttle to July 11th. Never forget that the DOJ's 2nd in command left to assist Bragg with the Trump persecution

It will be prison, guaranteed. And why not? The NY appeals court and NY Supreme Court won't be of any help, because why would they? They're ideological travelers with Merchan. And the SCotUS? They just let Steve Bannon get screwed, even though this is all obvious lawfare. So don't expect any help from there, at least until Trump gets the ultimatum....we'll let you out if you drop out.

The Education system is so deteriorated that many have no idea whats been happening for some time. We have slowly been eroding to socialism. And it does sound awesome to get all these life needs for free. But they dont understand the cost.. Its far heavier than printing money.
The SCOTUS cases are putting the brakes on many issues that have run away, without oversight. Will it matter? Will it be enforced? If Trump gets in, it should start to put a 180 degree rudder on this ship, for a while.

Maybe, but now the local courts get to decide what are "core" Presidential actions vs personal ones per the SCOTUS ruling. I think the persecution army can still game things and how does a local 12 person jury decide the scope of Presidential duties. It IS a win, kinda, sorta - you can bet the lawfare soldiers are already strategizing more BS.

Pretty sure it has been. They have no choice the way this ruling is written. Any evidence to prove motive that comes from personal conversations or correspondence by Trump or his advisors is no longer admissible and this ruling was made proactive.
That's the law now on the books for Biden and all future presidents, is that really what we want?
So here's how I think this plays out. Trump never gets sentenced nor does he go to trial for the other indictments, it will take too long to sort out the law and how to apply it. He will most likely get reelected unless the left gets a strong candidate, I don't think they will.
Trump isn't going to use this ruling to be a dictator, he's not that stupid. The left needs to just settle down. This was and always has been a get of jail free card. He gets in office but the backlash will give both the house and senate to the dems and nothing gets accomplished in the next 4 years.
We all need to start thinking about 2028, this cycle is pretty much toast after this past 7 days.

Because the evidence that was made up of personal conversations between he and his associates is no longer admissible under the new ruling. This means the recordings between he and Cohen for example are out. Additionally, SCOTUS made the ruling retroactive.

No, not really. It just kicks those cases back down to the district courts to decide if the charges were official or unofficial acts.
Just adds another layer.
Here is the issue, the decison by SCOTUS was a confirmation of that which has already been the law, and been in place for over 200 years.
It had to be addressed by SCOTUS as lefties have weaponized the doj, fbi and our ENTIRE judicial systems.
Had the courts been adherent to this law, there would have been NO indictments against TRUMP.
You are correct in stating it just kicks it back to the lower courts, AND the SCOTUS will have to overturn any convictions, as you and I know the lefties have their own laws, which have nothing to do with OUR CONSTITUTION.
EXAMPLES:
chuckie intimidates the SCOTUS
fjb ignores SCOTUS ruling on student loans
fjb has an evening press conference to solely address SCOTUS decision
I have thousands more, anytime the SCOTUS rules in favor of OUR CONSTITUTION the leftists nutjobs raise hell and challenge their authority AND threaten more judges to shift the balance.
Amazing that when a SCOTUS decision goes their way, those on the right accept it, and do not threaten extreme actions.

I am with you, the best TRUMP action would be for the appeal to be won ASAP, thus stopping the sentencing phase.
If not, the fraudulent judge will be more than happy to sentence TRUMP within a month or two of the election, knowing an appeal for the sentencing would not be heard until after Election Day.

However, that you made this claim that you now have, proves you haven't read their ruling, regardless what you claim.
Such an act on the POTUS's part is clearly beyond the scope of his/her's Constitutional authority and therefore prosecutable after leaving office
I didn't like the decision, but I expected it to be this way in order to get a solid majority.
IMHO the best decision would have been much simpler - the constitution explicitly lays out the way in which a President is NOT above the law and can be held accountable - via impeachment by the U.S. House and conviction and removal by the Senate. The end. The U.S. Constitution explicitly made Congress the court of law which has jurisdiction over POTUS. It's unusual since Congress isn't a court, but it's all there in plain english. And it makes total sense. If the normal state and Federal court systems have jurisdiction over POTUS, then POTUS can be essentially hamstrung by political blackmail.

Ken, I have read it and you completely miss my point. I'm not talking about what is done either as an official act or otherwise. My point is there would be no way to prosecute him if he decided to do this behind the scenes no matter if he was caught or not. The ruling says that any private conversations between the president and/or his associates can NOT be used to prove motive. There would be no point of law to bring a case.
I fully understand what is within the scope of POTUS, I'm talking about should he try to do what people keep accusing Biden of doing.

The ruling says that any private conversations between the president and/or his associates can NOT be used to prove motive. There would be no point of law to bring a case.
I fully understand what is within the scope of POTUS, I'm talking about should he try to do what people keep accusing Biden of doing.
That's reaching to say the least. If it was a secret and no one but the POTUS and the person they conspired with ever found out, OF COURSE there'd be no prosecution. With or without this current SCOTUS ruling
In the case of Biden, the evidence is overwhelming, right down to their coordination with Bragg and Fannie whatshername (as proven by WH log visits) so hell ya, that is beyond Constitutional authority

It's kind of sad the way he still tries to sell that. :Jeff '79:

And if that's not bad enough, make it clear you're ready to do it again. Then act like it puts you on some moral high ground...

Joe is a master of keeping an "arm's length" distance from nefarious acts. In his family business dealings, lawfare, etc - anything illicit. Like the WH meetings with Fani, Bragg, and Wade (who brings some 3rd rate slip and fall gov't contract lawyer to a WH meeting) and then having your #3 DOJ guy take a 5 step downgrade to prosecute a state case.

People relly need to ask, What are you voting for.. Dems want 100 percent control of your life. They want to take care of you, using fiat money.. Not good
The right, wants to tell you you are free etc, but wont do much to stop the left. Short and sweet, out government needs reigning in.

We have a uniparty now, many examples, like BOTH parties refusing to pass a bill to have independent accounting and oversight in the billions of taxpayer money sent to the Ukraine - a watershed moment IMO.

When dealing with certain people, I try to remember they're the embodiment of the old axiom "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit"

You can figure that CNN has a serious load of bullshit and loved to spread it around.
FWIW many, many times its so bad its rather funny!
