Florida and Edmonton tied at 1-1 after the first period with the series tied 3-3. It's for all the marbles in the next 40 minutes or more. Canada has a chance to hoist the cup for the first time in 30 or so years.

It was a great series but I hate they kept Lalonde for another year. The last game of the season for the Wings was hopefully a sign of things to come.

I would agree if players played for the state they were born in or lived in. But players come from all over the world so I don’t get your point. Is the ice colder in northern arenas?

I was rooting for Florida. But as you mentioned, I’m not a hockey fan. Maybe I’m missing something; like freezing ass weather.
