No fun since they paved the road, which they said they never would. Ruined the race.

One year I went they brought back bikes for the first time in years. A guy laid down his bike and got t-boned by someone who didn’t see him because all the dust. WTF didn’t they water the track. Died on the way to the hospital. It took way too long to respond. We were a hundred or so yards from this incident.

I also saw Michele Mouton or crew in the Audi Quattro week of the race at a texaco station right off I-25. Blasted like a bat out of hell up the ramp. That probably wasn’t legal.
