"I can't drive 750 miles in it without stopping so it's completely worthless. Plus it's ugly. And gay."

An EV that can go fast AND turn? Huh, who knew such a thing was possible.

One of a kind race car that beats track records. I'm almost positive curb appeal wasn't what they were going for when designing it.

It's still not the fastest to lap the Nurburgring.

It's still not the fastest to lap the Nurburgring.

That's good enough for 4th fastest car to ever lap 'Green Hell.'

Normally, no one remembers who finished second or third, and especially not who finished fourth – but what makes this fourth-fastest lap notable is the Lotus Evija X is the second fastest all electric vehicle to lap the 'Ring.

So…. Ummm… yea. :skep:

it's the very fastest production-based chassis

Production “based”. As in not even remotely close to production, but sure.

4th fastest ever. 2nd fastest EV.

How is it “the new king in town?”

Motors are the same as the street version.

Saw this recently:

"Comparing lap times of a gas vehicle to an ev is like comparing a bbq grill to a microwave. Yeh it's going to cook faster, but nobody wants a microwaved steak".

That's about right.

Lotus should be able to churn out more greatness almost as quickly as the Evija's 0-186-mph (0-300-km/h) time of 9.1 seconds.
The 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint is completed in under three seconds, while its electronically-limited top speed is 218 mph (350 km/h). Not many Corvettes can run with that. But then again we hate change.
