I started a thread in the C3 general section asking why older threads are always being closed. Did the information for our C3's all of a sudden change and a thread from 2019, 2015 or even 2001 don't have good information in them anymore. I realize links and such may not work but there is still a ton of info in these threads. The mod just says "start a new thread". Then why have a search function. Why not just delete the threads after a year? It just doesn't make sense.

It depends, a large percentage of the guys with knowledge have moved on or have died. Odds are they won't get an answer.

Bringing up zombie threads about nonsense or old sale posts is likely why they have adopted this stance.

True moderation would be to leave the relevant threads active and close the zombies that don't offer real tech info or are fight threads.

I think to be a "professional", you need to make a living at it. I know I can't live on the $200 or so per year I get recycling metal, and I'm pretty sure that Doug can't live on $10,000 per year, even if I believed he made that much, which I don't think I do.
