Sadly, those AA meetings were scheduled at Happy Hour, so I made the decision that I could manage my behavior better with my friends at the bar vs. nosey strangers at meetings.

Not to worry, I am still going to meeting, just not AA, this is my new pursuit, I do not think I really have a problem, but damn, get place to meet nice ladies in need of help:

Right?! Fear of public speaking is numero uno on the list.
As far as the link is concerned, I would imagine the meeting center in Beaverly Hills would produce nicer results than say... oh, maybe Hot Springs, Arkansas?

I would recommend avoiding meetings near retirement communities, bus depots and taxpayer-funded housing.
As I attend more I will be able to provide more tips on the best meeting locales.

I would also recommend a prime parking spot near the entrance of the meeting, as you can view the meeting attendees, based on that you can chose to join.

Although against my cheap bastard budgeting, driving a little further may get you something a little nicer.

My 2nd wife was an alcoholic. After we broke up, she went to the AA meetings.

She told me, at some later point, that after the meetings she'd go out with some of the people to a bar and get shitfaced. :shrug:
