They are good insect eaters. I’m ok with it.

I lived in front of a cane road at one point with fields behind it. One night a CS came crawlin' across the rug at me. No fear, Brah. He was a monster. Ya smash 'em and they shrink down.

I lived Upcountry with da pineapple fields behind my house. Cane spidahs 'n geckos one t'ing, da kine.

Da centipedes are da worst, brah. Evah get bit by one?

We have anoles here that look similar. The green ones are native, they are chameleons, they can change color to match the background. Then we have non native, invasive Cuban brown anoles, which are less attractive.

Fuzz enjoys catching both kinds and bringing them in the house if I have the door open during the temperate months of the year. She makes a weird noise, when she does, so I know what's up. Usually, I can catch the anole and take it safely back outside.

I think the brown anoles have taken control of the garage, though, because sometimes I go out to the garage and Celia Cruz is playing on the stereo out there.

We've got lots of plants in our sunroom. Two years a panicked Anole darted in from outside, and we couldn't get him back out. The number of plant related bugs has dropped....And there are currently three Anoles living inside. We put out food and water for them and they race from plant to plant. Often find them lounging about in the leaves. All in all it seems we have set up a but if an ecosystem by accident...

I like the geckos but for some reason the anoles annoy me. Not sure if its the throat thing. I just don't like them.

Im wondering if anyone here got my bad Wall Street reference with Gordon Gekko. Not a single mention. Maybe my kids are right about bad dad jokes...

I got nailed by a centipede when I was living in St. Kitts. I was pretty sure a coal from the fire had jumped out and landed on my foot.

Those little things are plentiful in my area. More of them down along the coast than up here in farm country.

Now that's a topic worthy of discussion and photographic interest. St. Kitts on vacation is one thing, but living there would be quite another story. Sometime if you feel like posting a captioned picture or two you would have at least one captive onlooker. Thanks.

I’m guessing from his user name he might have attended medical school there.

My garden is full of those garden-variety lizards but I never named any of them.

I laid out some sticky mouse traps in my garage. A couple days ago I cought a snake with one.

I almost stepped on this guy in my garage a few years ago.

He did not survive our encounter.

Judging from his muted colors he probably crawled in there to shed his skin.

Holy Crap! I take it you used something more powerful than a Bic lighter and a can of hairspray to take him out!

It was weird...his head just fell off :leaving:

There's so many in Florida that they were named the state bird.
