Sweet sounds for sure. I miss my 69. It didn’t have side pipes but it sounded good.

Do you have your headlight vacuum hoses disconnected?

I took mine out last Friday for a 20 mile drive, just to shake the
cob webs off, and put some miles on the new tires.

Sound clip from when I installed the dual chambered exhaust:

No, they are electric on c2's you have to operate 2 switches, one turns on the lights, the other rotates the headlight buckets clockwise or counterclockwise

I thought it looked cool at this time of night being the C2 has no fog lights so I did not rotate the headlight buckets.

Little white smoke on start up, more then I like to see….

That smoke wouldn't bother me, the fact that the choke, and the fast idle aren't set would.............I'd have that set so perfectly..hit the gas one time, boom first turnover, fast idle perfectly, then kick it :seasix:off.

This^^^ If only I could get back to this project....I really want to rip out the pointless and go back old school. Both firing and carb issues that need attention. I have yet to install the spark plug wire shielding might be some grounding out on the manifolds too.....

need help! :D

Let me see if I have the '71 BB W/ CEC start up video. It's dialed in to the tee!

Nice looking cars guys.

I had factory SE on two previous 1966 Corvette coupes, one was a BB and the other a SB also Hooker headers with side exhaust on both a 1971 and 1973 SB Corvettes. The factory pipes were too loud for me even in my 30s and I could not carry on a conversation or hear the radio at highway speeds. Additionally they are a performance inhibiting. The Hookers while quitter because the have a removable muffler inside burned several young ladies legs getting out of the cars.

They sound nice for onlookers when they are going down the road but I will never again have a set of any kind.

She is burning a little oil. And the base timing sounds a hair retarded. Sounds like it's hitting on all 8 though. You should trade it for a '71 Cadillac limousine.

I love this guys channel...he has tons I mean literally tons of old late 60s, early/mid 70s ultra low miles, big land yachts, and he always has them tuned perfectly, especially on start up........his big thing, is starting them outside of the car. anyway, this is the standard for start ups......should only take one pump!

I'd bet she would kick over with only one pump but the PV test allows for more.:yesnod:

My grandmother gave me her '68 Impala as my first car.:seasix:

That would be fine IF you start them daily but with the ethanol fuel it evaporates much sooner then the non ethanol fuel which requires you to turn the engine over more to get fuel back to the carb.
