Do you know what the Tigers and Michael Jackson have in common?

They both wear one glove for no apparent reason.

It's going to hover around freezing all week and some light rain coming in, which means this will be ice road truckers all over town as dumb drivers end up in ditches en masse.

NO! This is an uplifting time of year: We've gained over 1/2 hour of daylight in the evening over the dark days of December.

It's advancing at 2 minutes per day, more seconds each day. :smash: I worked outside for an hour today til my back gave out.

The snow was "squeaky" this morning, so no.

I don't know where you are, but it got up to about 35 here today. I believe it is the first time above freezing in 8-9 days. Very unusual for us in Northern NJ, so yeah, I am damn tired of winter!

Supposed to be high 40s by the end of the week, with some rain. So hopefully we will melt this ice, and wash away the ridiculous amount of salt that is EVERYWHERE!

People who like full reservoirs and green gardens welcome the rain. :yesnod:

I have been very tired lately. Might be a sign of something besides weather....

It’s been a little colder than I’d like but come August I’ll be yearning for the cold weather.

Although the summer humidity is better for me old bones than this cool dry weather.

But never get the winter blues here. Because even cold it’s super bright and sunny not cloudy and gray like some places.
Even this morning it was 25 degrees and by noon it was sunny and warm and I was in a short sleeve shirt.

Our first winter back in the mid-west after spending 9 years in Florida. It's actually pleasant seeing some cold weather. While I don't enjoy having to go out in teens temperatures, it is a break from the "cold" 50's we had in the Sarasota weather and seeing our daughter every few days adds a lot of sunshine to our lives.

Next winter I plan to head south in January and February to spend a few weeks with sisters and friends though!

How does the light board work? I’ve heard of them but don’t know anybody that has one.

vitamin D lights, Microsoft used to give them to employees back in the day (we used to call them "happy lights".

It works but it’s subtle. Sneaks up on you and you suddenly realize the depression is gone. Used to hit the tanning beds a few times each winter but it left me itchy. :yesnod:

Those lights didn’t really help me at all during the winter…what *has* helped me is walking 8-10 miles daily. Have lost a few days due to surgery and a couple recent snowstorms but hope to get back out there again tomorrow. :yesnod:

Not so much. Winter in middle Ga doesn't amount to much. Been cold for a few days, but in the 70's later this week. It will fluctuate around until April. Rode my Harley to Palm Coast Florida for Christmas.

Not in January. Talk to me again in April when it's still not warm enough to stop wearing multiple layers of clothes and I've got another month until the car comes out of storage. All kinds of Winter fatigue then

I stopped watching when Billy Martin got fired the fourth time,,,

I attended the last game Billy managed ever, against the Tigers in Detroit June 1988. He was fired the next day after the Yankees were swept by the Tigers and never managed again. Baseball really misses dudes like Billy Martin. :sadangel:

NFL needs to whip up a few more expansion teams and get the season to drag on a few more months pushing the Super Bowl into late spring. Since the Pro Bowl was moved up prior to the SB, I have not watched it at all.

I used to, when it was after the SB. It was always a nothing-burger, but something to wind down the winter addiction of watching football.

I don't even know how it works now: Nobody who will be playing in the SB plays in the PB, right? -- at the risk of getting hurt . . . ?

Don't really care.

Take heart - Baseball season is only a few weeks to come.

And the best way to combat winter fatigue is go to Spring Training in AZ :fastguy: I'm down for work twice and will catch some action. :seasix:

Ya, i'am going to fly 1,200 miles to get warm from Billings Montucky to Tucson Arizona. I 'd rather just open my door and go out for 70 degree weather.
