69 was always my favorite year. 68 is not much different but I do prefer the door handles on the '69 while I prefer that the 68 had the backup lights below the bumpers and 2 blinkers each side.
Had total of 5 68 - 69 Verts.. I drove them a lot except for my last '68 which I only drove a lot in the first 2 years and then it was just sitting as I had no time to enjoy the car.
Except for my last '68, they all had performance engines in them. Nothing stock about them.

Testarossa all day long

It was an awesome car but didn't keep it for a long time. Engine out service every 30k miles or 10 years for $20k and $5k clutch&flywheel every 12k miles.

Love the C5's :seasix:

I hated the stock 1998 wheels, so I installed 2000 C5 wheels on both ot them and sold the original wheels on Ebay.

I had those Hooker side pipes on a C3 I owned and would occasionally burn the crap out of my leg. Loved them, nonetheless.

I burnt myself once really bad.. Never happened again.. Learned my lesson.

3 of the sidepipes were Hookers and the last set was a set of stainless steel chinese ones off Ebay. Don't recall the brand name.

You should have kept it. Less than 200 1968 L88s were built and they're now valued at well over $500k!! Did you change the hood on it, because that's not an L88 hood.

My "GrandSportC3" used to be originally a L89 car (based on rear sway bar and tach redline). However, it was hacked up and had a small block when I bought it. Only paid $6k for a running and driving '68 Vette, so, I didn't mind. L89 weren't as rare as L88 but their value is still much higher than the 390 HP 427.

You should've held on to the 1971 LT1 Vert. They only made a few hundred of those in 1971.
I bet that it would be worth $$$ now.
