Just stupid.

Isn't the dude on injured list, unable to pitch until 2025?
I don't understand this crazy money stuff anymore.
It's official. I'm now my Dad.

Stupid money, he’s a great player but he has a hard time staying healthy.

He’ll make a half million dollars per game, in a week he’ll earn more than Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale made combined in their entire careers. Insanity has taken over baseball.

Every year that passes, I get further and further away from spending any money on any professional sport.

Just healthy enough to win 2 of the last 3 MVP's. Got hurt pitching but he's a better hitter so who care's? Doesn't matter, Dave Roberts couldn't win a playoff with 9 Ohtani's

Apparently lots of that $700 is deferred. His great great grandchildren will likely be getting checks from the Dodgers in 100 years.

He's a great player both pitching (or was...he has now had 2 Tommy John surgeries) and hitting but that is an obscene amount of money.

I haven't paid for a sporting event since 1994. I have rich friends with great seats at Angel Stadium, SoFi, and the Coliseum. I won't pay the prices.

good for him. I'm surprised how high baseball player salaries are. The sport is incredibly boring.

Trying to understand the economics of this. How many tickets do you have to sell to pay for this mofo ?

I’m guessing since it’s LA they have ways to leverage the Japanese market for various types of baseball related income.

He already has a So.Cal base with the fans, he's just moving up 30 miles north.

The Dodgers will replace the seventh-inning stretch with the seventh-inning collection plate passing.

They will also be the first stadium to sell tickets to get in and also tickets to get out.

In the last 61 years at Chavez Ravine only about 4-5 years they didn't have the most people attending the games. L.A isn't hurting for money and the fans come out religiously. From 2006 to 2023 they averaged 47,371 in attendance. Now they'll average 56,000. And the people will pay just like they did 30 miles south at Angel Stadium.

Price justification?
