I've got lice all over my bush thanks to hitchhikers

My sweet pepper plants have plant lice aka aphids after bringing home a walmart amaryllis.
Anyone have a tip that actually works? I've tried a soapy water spray using castile soap but not sure how well it is killing them. Might be a new problem since bringing the plants indoors for the season, seems maybe the ladybugs were eating them up when it was outside.
What's the deal with neem oil? Never heard of the stuff until I started googling aphid sprays.

I have found that dawn dish soap in a spray bottle with water works to kill them.

Quarantine the plant and wash the area where it was sitting. Check your other plants, as well.

When removing aphids, I put the plant in the sink and spray just water to wash off the aphids I can see. Then spray the plant with the soapy water above and below all the leaves. Go leaf by leaf and do this. The soap should kill them right away.

I do find that Neem oil on the leaves is good for future prevention. Ladybugs are good, as well…but when they are outdoors. You can buy ladybugs when they are in season.

DE will also work but you’ll have to reapply if it gets wet.

I've resorted to bringing the plant into the shower to spray the leaves with pretty strong jets, greatly reduced the numbers so my plant is making peppers again but I think the issue is flying aphids just land again and make more. Still doing the soapy spray but if I see them I might as well squish them.
