Thought I would ask before OBC does.

Very most excellent question, it was my next to be asked!!

I am a clothes horse, I buy in bulk, I could turn the master suite into my closet and not have enough space--30+ suits, 100+ dress shirt, 40+ pairs of dress slacks, 30+ khaki pants, 70+ oxfords, 50+ sneakers, 10+ boots, 20+ casuals, 50+ pairs of dress socks, 70+ pairs of athlectic and golf socks, 40+ belts, 30+ sets of cufflinks, 50+ underwear, 50+ golf shirts, 100+ t-shirts, etc...--yeah, I have problems, one is that I never toss unless torn.

Back on topic, I change often, as do not want any feet / toe disease, a good hint is when your dogs would not lick your feet, which mine do.

I keep two pairs of nike black golf socks in the car, as one never knows.

The only time I wear socks is for a Wedding or a Funeral.

Once they start getting stiff, the time to change them is 3 days before that

Socks serve as a very good barrier to ensure your shoes never stink.
I like things simple and easy, but rarely go sockless.

My shoes can occasionally stink, socks or not. That's why I hire Dr. Scholl and his spray can.

Years back my father knew a fellow that his nickname was stink feet. From what dad said he had OK hygiene, his feet just stunk big time. The doctors of the time 1930s could not seen to do much to help him (and of course others around him):)

Wait...you're supposed to change them? Interesting. I guess I should buy a second pair.

A good savings idea is not to buy another pair, just cut the toe area off from the one pair you have, as most foot odors start between the webbing of one's toes.

You are welcome!!

I just wear the pair I have when I take a shower. It's usually not an issue except for the weekends.

I don't even put shoes on unless I'm doing yard work. If I happen to go out, topsiders with no socks is pretty much my go-to.

Sorry to hear that, as was going to send you a pair of those for Christmas.
