From what I've seen, it pretty much takes open, vulgar, completely inappropriate insults directed at the moderators specifically. An open challenge and show of disrespect. Two I know of got the axe due to this. And deservedly so. :)

It didn't take a genius to see the correlation between Doug not having alcohol for a day or so, and these "panic attacks" and "incidents" suddenly happening, before most of the folks with any experience with addicts knew what the problem had been all along. :yesnod:

He has been open about his habit of drinking heavily on a daily basis, and has repeatedly told stories of his "panic attacks" and "manic episodes" etc. The stories always line up with times that, for one reason or another, he stopped drinking for some period of time. The correlation was pretty hard to ignore for years, and then his latest "meltdown" happened after he quit drinking, and supposedly flushed his weed. A few days later, he was hallucinating that he was getting text messages from God, and other completely off-the-wall behaviors that line up exactly with someone going through withdrawal from a substance they are physically addicted to.

Unfortunately, I have some real-life experience with people doing such things, including a close friend of my family drinking herself to death. The stories are exactly the same. I am FAR from the only person to notice, as several others, and myself, have practically begged him to quit drinking.

But, he's a grown man, and I'm not a psychological professional, so take this as just the opinion of a guy who has seen this shit before. :shrug:
