Next Do Nothing Day, I plan on organizing and tossing items in the five garage cabinets--that will take more than a couple hours.

Lastly, you are just like the wifey, once she gets bored on a slow day, the major cleaning projects are tackled, which is why I try to find a chore in the garage, or the yard, as she is relentless, meticulous and inclusive of me.

4. Turn Rumba on days i don't have to do laundry.
5. Take my car to the dealership to get washed

The wifey has many, many relatives that live on the west side of Florida, north of Tampa, in rural areas.

Great people, all of them, and their 'nothing' days are exhausting, as they always find something to do if it gets slow.

And I have dug fence posts, not fun, will try not to do so again.

Lastly, never own horses, there is never a nothing day if you own them.

Thankfully I have an Eastern European wife and they are hard workers. Between her and I we probably get more done in a month than most do all year.

I am most happy working. I like tangible results daily. It’s how I’m wired. Too late to reprogram.

And yeah she’s offered to help with the fencing I’m currently working on.

I was never very good at doing "nothing", but when I was working, I was amazed at how the hourly guys could stretch a little bit of work to last the rest of the day. Since I retired, I have gained that skill. For example, I told my wife I would put air in her tires this afternoon. It's nearly 3 o'clock, and I haven't touched a tire yet, but I did turn on the compressor, and I hear it is up to full pressure. I'm pretty sure I'll get those tires aired before sundown. But if not, tomorrow is another day. :thumbs:

ceramic tile in laundry room and downstairs office--yet, she cut with a wet saw
laid 3,000 sqft of bamboo flooring, cut all pieces herself, had to bring the guy in for the stairs
built in-wall L-shaped ceiling-to-floor bookcase in upstairs hall
installed my three floating L-wrap shelving for my bar
repaired 300+ pavers at front entry due to groundwater collapse
has done wainscoting in three areas of home
rescrrened back patio numerous times
various, various landscaping and path projects
All interior painting
Crown molding, cut and install
Ceiling fans and lighting, including coach lights
multiple plumbing projects

She is an RN, who got tired of paying lazy, incompetent tradesmen, so she learned how to do all things herself,,, without my help!!
