View Full Version : Political: RFK - Screwed the Pooch?
Gotta say, I was a bit concerned when RFK went independent as opposed to keep attacking via the democrat party.
His approach on 2A, and now Reparations (although I know he meant handle reparations like we handle liability cases now), must take him off of some right leaning lists...
I don’t put much weight in polls this early but in the first real poll of a 3 way race between Trump, Biden and JFK, Biden opens up a 7 point lead after dropping 2 points over all. Trump dropped 9 points. I don’t find him a desirable candidate but his politics seem to be more attractive to the Trump crowd, not what I expected. He is strong with the independents that we’re leaning right.

That was yesterday. RFK came out today in favor of Reparations. I'll stand by my assessment.
He has zero chance. His only role is spoiler. If the Democrats feel they can use him in some way they will but otherwise he is only chatter.

Reparations is a bad joke and it should have neve been given credence and if Biden is 7 points ahead of ANYbody, its an even worse joke. Hopefully, its just another brain dead poll.
Interesting that the Biden impeachment and classified docs cases have dropped out of the news cycle since the Israeli mess, yet Trump's gag order still gets airplay. And this right on the heels of the discovery that Biden's VP office exchanged 20,000 emails with Rosemont Seneca.
You know, the comapny doing Hunter business that Joe knew nothing about.

^ This.
The political weight of a Kennedy has been long over. Stating his administration will not be taking away your guns does not suddenly boost him to the top.

Agreed, most of the votes he gets will be because he’s not JB or DJT, not because of his political views.
I'm ok with reparations as long as they are paid by current slave owners.

Even more concerning than RFK is everyone else who is running. Trump is the bully I want in the captain's chair, but if not him, the only other common sense choice is DeSantis.
All others are hacks or corrupt paid operatives of the chinese.

He has some good ideas but he's also a whackjob conspiracy theorist. But at least he's better than Biden. :D

I had a boss like him. Retired flag. Genius. Held a few C-Suite jobs before I worked for him. Guy would have 10 ideas every time he saw me. Maybe 4 had a chance of success. 1 or 2 were really good. Problem was he was totally free flow and didn't know the difference, so a fair amount of time was spent trying to bury the shit in a way that he forgot about asking, and then hyping the 1 or 2 good ones to make sure he understood he was the man:rofl:
What bothers me about RFK is his speech impediment. IMO, he would be a good one for America. Who are the other choices? Two 80+-year-olds and the rest are a bunch of lawyers and career politicians who have no idea how economics or this country work. If the people had a marginal amount of common sense, they would never vote for someone who only knows Washington, DC. I've traveled through all continental states; some places scared me. I saw rotten places in Oregon, Texas, Michigan, and California.

When a person saw the Vette, she looked like it was something out of this world. I'll never forget that expression.
I draw the line in the dust and toss the gauntlet before the feet of common sense . . . and I say . . . reparations today . . . reparations tomorrow . . . reparations forever.

It's not a speech impediment. If that affects your vote, well, I don't know...
Having said that, he has said some really smart stuff, and some really crazy shit. The stuff about reparations is a non-starter for me. What are the details?
My relatives were not a part of the US during slavery, so I should be exempt, correct?
