It's already cold enough to burn your fireplace and you live in NY. That's two strikes right there, although living in NY should count for two, so it's a solid strikeout.

Cloudy today and 65 degrees it will hit the mid 70's later.
Starting tomorrow it will be most awesome weather here.
Mid 70's and sunny with low humidity for the next week/10 days...
October-December is THE best time to be in the FL Panhandle.

In here I hear way more complaints about high temps, heat index, mosquitos, mojitos, and alligators, as opposed to a little bit of a chill.
I have been north, many times for both Thanksgiving and Christmas, many times near zero outside with the wind chill factor, only wore FL gear which is shorts, no biggie, cleared my sisters 1/3 mile driveway on a 20-degree in shorts, while drinking beer, took about two hours but that is because my nephews are poor listeners.
Cold weather is for suckas, not tough guys.

Not bad! Mine are only a little more than yours! Considering I live rural on a large lake with 5 acres, I'm happy.
Where I lived in Colonie before I moved here I would be paying a hell of a lot more for my 1/2 acre with no lake property.

Cuba! :Jeff '79:
Been to northern cuba already, many times, it is just south of the Broward / Miami-Dade line.
Been to Cuba (NY) many times, it's 40 or so miles south of me, the famous home of "Cuba Cheese." The whole southern tier is mostly dairy farms, so that's prolly why the cheese-making is there.
In the late '70s when I worked at Rochester Products, one of the guys lived down near Cuber. He would take orders then bring in these yooge blocks of cheese, 5 pounds each I think. Back then they were $5 or maybe 10? (don't remember, but much cheaper than today).
In the summer they would put yooge kettles on the melting pots for the die cast machines (molten zinc was around 800 D.) Guys would bring in gobs of fresh sweet corn and we'd pig out.
So if you wonder why your GM car is shit, why they're so expensive, or why GM went belly-up in 2008 -- that's why. :Jeff '79:

The dominant hispanics down here are American-cubans, do not call them cuban-Americans, as they love our country much more than their shitty homeland.
If ever in SE FL, take time to take in the latin culture, great people, AND the American-cubans are awesome, hard-working, family-driven AND almost all have turned red in their voting.
The American-cubans come here only wanting an opportunity, they ARE NOT freeshitgrabbers, a little time spent with them will teach you a lot about who they really are.
