New computer??......

For my wife.....


So for a combo of her b'day and Xmas, she needs a new computer, as her portable/small screen is overloaded and about used up.....many years old even, and she has another screen hooked up in addition.....and she wants a new machine with a larger screen or a desk top machine and of course an independent monitor......

SO, what you all recommend?? she does book keeping for several dozen clients, mainly on the .net with a few locals tossed in for grins....

her clients are mainly lawyers, through a contact service......

New or used, needs some POWER......

Any of the top brands will work HP, Dell, Acer - so shop for the best deal, most browsing and accounting tasks are not CPU killers, gaming can be....get one with a touch screen, backlit keyboard USB-SS and a 17" screen if its used for work and look for something supporting the stronger WPA-3 wireless standard if she's doing bookkeeping for clients.

I bought my wife a refurbished Dell from MicroCenter (https://www.microcenter.com/search/search_results.aspx?N=519+4294967292). Cost me $200 and has been working fine for a couple of years so far.

If it's strictly for bookkeeping, emails, internet and nothing else it's a pretty basic computer that's needed.
Look at Dell if you want something new and with support or give us a budget.
