As I grow wiser, not older, many come to me as a source of information and frugality.
I use to take it as a compliment, but it has gotten far too frequent for me to continue gratis.
I think I will be able to offer high volume discounts, and varying pricing based on degree of difficulty.
These are a few examples from today, please provide your opinions on pricing I should charge:
1) What time is dinner today??
2) What beer tastes best cold??
3) Should I go with an all-season or performance tire??
4) Which company can save me money on HO INS Policy??
5) Should I include mushrooms on my cheesesteak??
6) Who was the last person to use the bathroom??
7) Can you get me a roof quote??
8) Should I wrap or paint my Vagon??
9) Do you know a good labor attorney??
My sage advice over the past 30+ years has saved family and friends and acquaintances hundreds, if not thousands, of billions of $$$$, it is a proven source, it will now require payment.
All inputting is appreciated.

Usually I need $$$ up front for any advice I give here, but I'll give you a freebie....
My advice to you is to start drinking heavily, STFU, and EaBoD.

I’d have to charge somebody to answer this question.

I used to contribute to a site my uncle ran years ago called "Ask Uncle Ralph" which was a Dear Abby for Trailer Trash thing until we got a ceast and desist order
Do all Floridiots think like the OP?

Who sent you a C&D? What was the basis for their demand that you forfeit your first amendment rights?

My uncle was dumb enough to label it "The Dear Abby for Trailer Trash" on the site and his weekly emailings. Dear Abby's lawyers sent the C&D.
But more seriously, back when I was actively seeking consulting jobs, most people agreed you have to be willing to give some advice or free to get people interested in hiring you. If it was something I could do in an hour, and then spend half an hour explaining it to you, I would do that for no charge. If it was going to take me a half day to do, I would give something like that away once, if they came back for more I would start discussing my hourly rate. If it was something that was going to take a whole day or more, I wouldn't lift a finger without an agreement in place.

Same here. I'm currently on retainer, about 8 months into a lucrative one year agreement. I won't post the rate because braggin and wouldn't want to upset 4-penny if he shows up.

I don't know what you charge, but my bicycle mechanic bills at $130 per hour. My plumber charges $175 to show up at my house, and $150 per hour after that, and he's a friend of mine! My tree guy is a $300 minimum (he was here today). My auto mechanic charges $200 per hour.
Given that, my hourly rate is $200. I have a daily rate of $1800, for which I will work as much as 12 hours for that day. My current weekly rate is $8500, and I think I'm underpricing myself there. When I talk to people, and they say "your prices are WAY too high", I laugh at them, and ask them what their plumber charges them.
I don't care if they get upset that I laugh at them, because they are obviously not "customers" if they can't afford the aforementioned rates. :yesnod:

The retainer portion of my deal pays me to answer the phone and give a chit.
In addition, I add a percentage to the cost of projects for my actual expertise.
