Hospital That Fired Nurses for Refusing Vaccines Now Begging Them to Return
by Jack Davis, The Western Journal Sep. 2, 2023 7:40 pm
A Maine health-care provider wants the nurses it fired during the pandemic for refusing to be vaccinated against the coronavirus to come back to work.
MaineGeneral Health in Augusta has reached out to health-care workers, many of whom were denied unemployment compensation after they were fired, according to The Maine Wire.
Former registered nurse Terry Poland shared the message she received from the employer that booted her.
“You were once a proud member of the MaineGeneral team. Would you consider rejoining us? We would be pleased to discuss options with you,” the facility told her in a text, per The Maine Wire.
“As you know, nearly 2 years ago MaineGeneral had to comply with a state mandate for COVID-19 vaccination. We lost a number of great employees as a result, including you,” MaineGeneral continued, noting that the vaccination rule has been waived by the state.
As The BRICS Countries Stockpile Gold And Americans Scramble to Protect Themselves, A Faith-Based Company Shows Them How
Despite hard economic times after losing her job, Poland, who made about $75,000 a year before being fired, was not tempted.
“I was livid. Like, how dare you force me out of a career that I’ve dedicated my whole life to, taken away my livelihood, my ability to earn a good income, and now you think I’m gonna come grovel back to you?” Poland said.
“I don’t hardly think so. And that’s the attitude of most everybody that I’ve been in contact with since yesterday.”
Poland would not accept the mRNA vaccines.
“I knew enough not to take it. I’ve been a nurse long enough to know I need to question what new products are. I’m not going to be the first one to jump on board of an experiment,” she said, noting that her Christian convictions also came into play over concern for the use of fetal tissues in developing the drug.
The result was that she was fired and accused of misconduct, which meant she could not collect unemployment benefits, according to The Maine Wire.
Joy McKenna, director of communications for MaineGeneral, said only “a few people” have been interested in returning.
Some nurses who were fired and later fought back in court have scored victories.
Roswell Park Comprehensive Care Center has been ordered to reinstate nurse Wendy Cooper and negotiate retroactive pay and benefits with her, according to The Buffalo News.
State Supreme Court Justice Emilio Colaiacovo ruled this week that an arbitrator’s decision that went against Cooper was “irrational, violative of public policy and contrary to the interests of justice.”
“Ms. Cooper is an unfortunate victim in the wake of excesses exhibited by governors, administrators, legislatures, and yes, even the judiciary,” the ruling said. “All too frequently did critical thinking and the exercise of personal liberties expire at the altar of false righteousness, fear and authority.”
“Since the mandate which formed the basis for Ms. Cooper’s termination was found to be invalid while the matter was being litigated (in arbitration), the arbitrator’s decision upholding the termination must be vacated,” Colaiacovo wrote.
“It is troubling to find that this arbitrator found it fair and just to confirm Cooper’s termination despite there being scant evidence of Ms. Cooper being derelict in her duties, incompetent or insubordinate, other than refusing to take a vaccine pursuant to a mandate which was found to be found null and void, that the person issuing the mandate lacked the authority to do so, and that the rule was unenforceable.”
Roswell Park said it will appeal the decision.

It was a state mandate, not the hospitals mandate. I doubt the hospitals could do much about the mandate even if they wanted to stop the madness.
The 1905 smallpox vaccine ruling was the precedent courts used for the Covid vaccine mandates. Using that logic, maybe the government should have also mandated bleeding therapy for Covid.

That's the problem when state and corporate powers collude, otherwise known as fascism -- which is what our "health" care system has become.
Big Government + Big Insurance + Big Hospital Systems + Big Pharma.
Per the article, that's good that most of the nurses told them to **** off when asked to come back.

I'm good friends with two nurses from two different hospitals and both of them knew better than to take the clot shots so they simply faked their vax cards, something that is quite easy to do if you're a nurse (and even if you're not). They both confided in me that they know doctors at their hospitals who did the same thing.
Heck, at my golf course, we even had an old codger in my group handing them out on the course. Had a stack of blanks in his golf bag.

Similar here, I take weekly shots for arthritis which in turn, lowers my overactive immune system. My wife got them all because she told me she was gong to. :D
All we had after each shot and boosters was she had a bit of a fever the following day and I got tired. Day 3 we were fine.

I'm with you. Got 3 shots. Still kicking after a bad bout of the Covid (pre-shots)
that hospitalized me for 2 weeks, then oxygen for another 2 months afterwards. IT was enough to scare me into getting the first 2 shots. I don't
know why I got the third, but decided against the fourth, and future shots,
as I just don't care anymore.
The SO got exactly no shots. She passed away last year @ 69. Cancer
My Preferred provider Dr, who got 0 shots, was fired by the Health care firm
he worked for, because he refused to shave his beard off (he had for over 29 years). Health care Provider claimed his face mask didn't provide enough
protection, as beard caused mask to not seal properly :willy:
I'm confused to say the least.
The thing is, we don't necessarily get to choose how we die.

My first wife is a Dr. There has been a moderate shortage of medical professionals since we were together back in the late 70's. No big secret.
Vax or be fired is pretty broad. Nobody here knows what really went on at or behind the scenes and as usual, speculation- aka bullshit.
Firing a near complete staff is foolish. Many reason go along with being fired. The vax is only one of them.

BS. My daughter is a home health manager. The company was going to fire her because she claimed a religious exemption. They changed their minds just before she got fired. Not long after, she moved on to another company with a substantial salary increase. Why stay at a company that doesn’t support their most valuable asset?
She watched in horror as many of her younger nurses that relented had bad reactions to the experimental shot.

Right, it's an experimental therapeutic.
Because respiratory viruses mutate so frequently, there has never been a successful (sterilizing) vaccine for the common cold or the flu -- including the WuFlu.

That's bullshit. Proof? Look at how Fauci handled the AIDS problem. They developed a vaccine, and now gays don't get AIDS anymore.
Oh, wait. That didn't happen, even after 40 years. What the gays got was a subscription plan to stay alive. Take a drug cocktail every day and you won't die from a virus.
Crazy how the gays absolutely hated Fauci back then, but fast forward, even though he failed them, they love him now. Weird.

BULLSHIT. Nobody needed to comply and these companies should have told the federal government to suck a dick. But since most companies are beholden and scared of the federal government they caved.

It's the stories, events, etc. that are purposely IGNORED by the left-wing press, so that libtards have no clue about important things that would likely change their whole world-view -- or at least give them pause.

There was some guy back in the '90s who'd come here after the Soviet Union collapsed, I don't recall him as being anyone famous or that anyone would necessarily know today.
At any rate he said, as I recall: "We had The Pravda in the Soviet Union, and everybody laughed at it because we all knew it was just propaganda. But I come to this country, and it seems that most people believe the press."

My wife, myself, and my 90 yr old father-in-law got all 2 shots plus the booster shot. What is really funny in 2022, my wife and I came down with the wu-flu after traveling to San Diego. I'm pretty sure we got it in the airport because it was packed with travelers. After having it in 2022, they suggested I get the monoclonal antibodies treatment at the hospital. This treatment was the same one they gave to Trump.
Since my father-in-law is living with us, he walked around us while the wife and I were sick and never got it.
I get annual flu shots because I had my spleen removed back in 1986. My doc said it was a good idea to get the flu shot each fall, so if I got the flu it would not kick my ass.
Last month, I decided to get the Shingles vaccine. Normally, shots don't bother me except for some minor sourness at the injection site, but this one kicked my ass for 3 days with some minor side affects. My sister-in-law who also got it had the same affects.

Except in this case, and in the cases of the hundreds or thousands fired at Houston area hospitals, including at the premiere Methodist Hospital, refusal to submit to being injected, with or without a 'religious exemption' request, was the ONLY reason all of them were fired.
Keep in mind this is the same Methodist Hospital system that has dedicated prayer rooms for their Muslim staff and patients. So they clearly take some religious objections seriously....but not about the shot. No, they just fired anyone unwilling to submit.
I can't prove it, but I have no doubt that an even larger number of people than who got fired, faked their injection papers and simply remained quiet. Those in the medical field would have found that easier to do than the general public, since they were administering the shots in house.
So the people who were fired were not only committed, but HONEST, and willing to face negative consequences. Those are the kind of people that SHOULD be in leadership position. Instead, they were tossed out like yesterday's newspaper.
Here's a leftist link about just Methodist. The world class Houston Medical Center has many more hospitals, Methodist was just the first to fire.

Which is why you can't trust any of the government's statistics regarding the number of people injected. I know a shit-ton of people who didn't submit and every one of them has a vax card. Some of them are in the medical profession. Some of them are not. But nobody had a hard time getting hold of a card if they wanted one. The government tried to convince people that the number of guinea pigs were a lot higher in an effort to gaslight people into submitting. I was not fooled.
Heck, back when the Brandon administration was offering free crack pipes, we were on the second tee box waiting for a slow group in front of us to move along, and I joked about whether we were going to have to show a vax card to get our free crack pipes. Some guy who I didn't even know and who must have been in his seventies at least, pulled out a stack of them from his golf bag and offered them around. I politely declined because I had already printed my own up.

But I did have one back during the original Swine Flu. The wife and I got the shot, no adverse events. After millions of doses given, there were something like 30-40 adverse events AND THEY YANKED IT. What was the difference between then and now? Big Pharma could be sued back then.
