We were hanging out in the lobby area and the Coral Reefers were there warming up the crowd.
Jimmy came in (obligatory flip flops, tee shirt, board shorts, drink in hand) and I think he shook every person's hand that was there.

Half of the show was him alone sitting on the edge of the stage with an acoustic guitar.
When he played "Trying to Reason with Hurricane Season" It was a bit emotional. We were big fans back then.

Just because Hitler was fighting Stalin during WWII, the propagandist Left tries to peg Nazism the opposite the opposite of Communism, thus "right-wing."

That's like saying the Crypts and Bloods were not both criminal gangs because they fight each other. One had to be the "good guys", right? Communists (international socialists) are little different from Nazis (national socialists). Who cares about the petty differences, they are both totalitarian governments.

But the ruse worked -- most Americans think Nazism is "far-right." And those Leftists in the know, pushing the propaganda since WWII, created a "whipping boy" to blame, which they use all the time, just like Stalin did.

"Anyone opposed to what we're doing is a right-wing extremist." Everyone knows the horrors of Nazism, but Hitler was an amateur compared to the number of citizens killed by Stalin and Mao. The Left does not like to talk about the genocides committed by Communists (100M), but they love to talk about the genocide committed by "right-wing" Nazis (12M).

Well my sister called to wish me happy birthday and she’s really grieving about his passing. Not so much that she was a huge fan but she (and most of my family) see me as their Jimmy Buffett. :Jeff '79:

I said that he won’t be “heading up to San Francisco for the Labor Day weekend show…”
And she got very emotional. :(

I then said “too soon?” And she laughed and all was well.
