Most propane is a co-product of natural gas extraction and crude oil refining.

In addition to propane, natural gas wells also extract fuels like ethane, butane, isobutane and pentane. Propane, the largest co-product of these wells, is separated to prevent condensation build-up in pipelines.

Propane is also separated during the stabilization phase of oil refining.

About 90% of the propane supply in the United States is produced domestically. In fact, the U.S. exports as much propane as we use domestically. This is great from a price perspective since it means propane is somewhat insulated from volatile global energy markets.

The increase in shale gas extraction in recent decades has led to more domestic propane production here in the U.S. Because of that, our supply is so abundant that we’ve become a net exporter of propane...

Don’t worry, the tree ****er commie leftist America-hating democrat party will figure out some way to screw up production. If it doesn’t involve worshipping faggotry, trannies or dead ghetto thugs, they have no use for it.

That was a great show. Yadkin could be a combination of Dale and Hank. That's a compliment.

The funniest line was when Hank met his neighbor who was Laotian. "You came from the ocean?" And then the rednecks have a lengthy conversation based on that premise.

Or when the Laotian says '**** it' to his work ethic, grows his hair out, buys and El Camino, and becomes a full redneck. Tells his wife "I can eat all the fried food I want now!" while wearing a Metallica tank top.
Or the one when Hank unwittingly uses crack cocaine to catch fish with, ends up in court, and the Judge lets him go because he 'has an honest haircut'. Hilarious.

I always tell people that natural gas, for years, was considered a waste product. Also if you don't harvest it, it will leak out of the ground anyway. And, unburned gas is many times more harmful a greenhouse gas than the CO2 released when you burn it. Tell that to a lib when you hear them rant about natural gas and they immediately shut up.

Well, would you look at that, several years of ever increase record nat gas production.

And propane too

Our annual propane delivery costs have only slightly increased....so far. Many decades back, my grandfather converted his vehicle to run on propane from a kit he purchased advertised in Popular Science.

Was it a King Midget?

A friend gave me a huge lot of Popular Science magazines from 1938 to about 1961, back in '74. I still have most of them.
Gus Wilson's Model Garage was (and is) a favorite. Also Tom McCahill's road tests in Mechanix Illustrated.

So why isn't consumer pricing decreasing?

Oh wait...they're exporting a chit-ton more!

I’ve never watched it at all. Maybe I should look it up. It was originally on Fox, right? I could never get Fox until recent years.

I converted a couple of vehicles for a local propane company back in the early 80’s. Pretty simple conversion.

It ended a few years ago, but it was hilarious. Worth the watch. You can probably stream it on Hulu.

It appears on the Adult Swim show on The Cartoon Network and I believe I’ve seen it on some of the smaller independent networks you can often get for free OTA.

There was one episode where Hank's 13 year old son wants to do a school play, and Hank grabs him, hands him a carburetor, and sends him to his room to rebuild it to get that sissy shit out of his head. Another one where the 13 year old gets addicted to Jewish Deli food and gets gout so he has to get an electric scooter to get to the delicatessen easier for his daily ration.

Guy that voiced Dale Gribble died recently.

https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/tv/story/2023-08-11/johnny-hardwick-death-king-of-the-hill-actor-dale-gribble

Johnny Hardwick, the voice actor, producer, writer and comedian best known for voicing Dale Gribble on the animated series “King of the Hill,” was found dead Tuesday in his home in Austin, Texas. He was 64.

Police found Hardwick deceased at his house after responding to an urgent welfare check, officials confirmed to The Times. No foul play is suspected, and his cause of death will be determined by Austin’s medical examiner’s office.

Hardwick voiced Gribble, a chain-smoking exterminator/bounty hunter with a strong Texas accent, throughout the Fox program’s original 13-year run from 1997 to 2010. He also was a writer, producer and story editor on the show.

Hardwick shared an Emmy for outstanding animated program in 1999, alongside show creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels. He was nominated for the same award in 2001 and 2002.

“Johnny Hardwick was an incredibly beloved member of the ‘King of the Hill’ family, whose tremendous talent, brilliant humor and friendship will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to work with him over the past 25 years,” 20th Television Animation and Hulu said in a statement to The Times.

“Our deepest condolences go out to his friends and family as we mourn the loss of one of the animation greats. His voice gave life to one of our most iconic characters, and he will be truly missed.”

Born John Michael Hardwick in Austin, the Emmy winner started as a stand-up comic in 1990, a decade after graduating from Texas Tech University. He was featured on “The Jon Stewart Show” and performed at the Montreal Comedy Festival. Hardwick was doing a gig at L.A.’s Laugh Factory when he was approached by Judge and Daniels, who were looking to cast him in their still-in-the-works show “King of the Hill.”

Outside of his most recognized role, Hardwick appeared on the reality shows “Ace of Cakes” in 2009 and “Boomer vs. Zoomer” in 2019. He also voiced Gribble in the 2000 “King of the Hill” PC game.

Hardwick was scheduled to reprise his role as Gribble in the Hulu revival of the Texas-based animated series, which was ordered by the streaming platform earlier this year.

The voice actor also ran a YouTube channel where he would perform covers of famous tunes in Gribble‘s voice.

Several of Hardwick’s “King of the Hill” castmates paid tribute to their co-star after hearing the news.

Pamela Adlon, who voiced Bobby Hill in the series, shared a photo of herself, Hardwick and a number of “King of the Hill” cast members on Instagram.

“Johnny was the most unique tender hearted dirty footed sneakily talented mercurial creature,” Adlon wrote. “The memories are deep and long. Sha sha! WINGO! RIP Johnny——you you left your buttprint!!”

“Johnny. God rest him,” wrote David Herman, who voiced various characters on the Emmy-winning program.

Breckin Meyer, who played Hardwick’s son, Joseph, tweeted an homage to his TV dad in an X post.

“Was lucky enough to have Johnny Hardwick as my pops Dale for almost a decade,” Meyer wrote. “He will be so damn missed! RIP.”
