BRO!!! We can be friends. In tech school we had "Mojito Monday" because it gets damn hot in Texas. I still prefer to muddle some mint on occasion here. A little water, usually no more than three drops, will open the flavor up.
I only drink quality scotch neat, okay to use a little ice if a blended at $30.
If you add more than a few drops, the water will sit on top of scotch, kind of like oil and water.
You bastardize a high quality scotch and bourbon by putting anything else in the glass, if this is your style buy the cheap swill.
