I used to love Carson, early Letterman, and Leno. I'm sure most of you still miss Jack Parr. But the offerings for the last couple decades have been pure crap.
Don't GAS or GAF or care.
All those liberal /progressive/ commie bastards out of work and not putting out their political views in everything they do GOOD!-:hurray: Hope they never go back!
Nope. Haven't watched network TV for a few years now. Watch real people on youtube. And great old movies from the '30's through the '70's. Don't GAF about modern Hollywood, the wokeness, the performers, or the productions. Same with today's music.
Everything worth listening to was pretty much recorded before 1980.

Late night tv now doesn't hold a candle to late night tv from back in the day.:cert:

Actually they are not jokes. They are political commentary (propaganda) disguised as jokes.
You’ll notice more applause from the audience than laughter.

AI is going to take a lot of work away from people in the industry. I know one person picketing in NYC. Many of the people below what we see will financially suffer. Yeah, I know they can learn to code too.
3 MONTHS, i DO REMEMBER THEY WENT ON STRIKE, I GUESS I GIVE 2 POOPS ABOUT IT.
SORRY ABOUT CAPS, NOT CHANGING

Until I read the OP I didn't know that they were on strike. And I don't care.

Wasn't aware of the strike. Don't watch network television. Certainly don't watch movies until I can do so for free in my living room. As far as I am concerned, all the little Primadonnas can just fade away into obscurity.

Wow - a strike; I haven't noticed any degradation in the episodes of Paladin, Wagon Train, I Love Lucy or Lonesome Dove I watch.

Lately I've been on an "Everybody Loves Raymond" binge...
I think Robert (Brad Garrett) is hilarious, and I am completely smitten with Patricia Heaton. :smash:
This isn't just "network" television.
This affects streaming companies and movie studios as well.
I watch very few new shows at this point, so it's not a big deal to me at all.
The final season of Stranger Things will have the kids in college at this rate.
The downside of writers strikes, is the possibility of more "reality" tv. :ack:

Reality TV needs writers and everyone involved in producing the shows.
A friend of mine is directly affected because if they dont work, she cant work. Because, she teaches their kids.
So, its a dominoe affect. It isnt just the People we see, its the industry..

I know. But, She is way smarter than I could imagine. She has significant savings and a plan. No worries per say.
But, AI will cause a problem in the entertainment world. It will be an adjustment for everyone. Not just end user.
