He was also a veteran. Called up for the Army Air Forces. He served for two years, until 1946, primarily as a radio operator and aerial gunner on a B-25 Mitchell.:USA:

Funny you said that, as a kid in the 1970s I remember a lot of comments about cars, once I can still recall is, 'Never own a Jag, they look cool, but they are unreliable'.

What a great period in America. The mid century architecture, the california weather, no political correctness or woke bullchit, men were men, you could pat a woman on the rear without arrest, and kids were kept in their place...

And best of all...we did not kowtow to minorities.

Very cool. Hard to believe he could even fit in the damn thing. Those pre-68 covered-headlamp XKE's are gorgeous. I also like the '61 Ford Galaxie 2 door in the background.
