View Full Version : Heated Seats
Do you like heated seats in cars? My wife has them in her Altima and every time I drive it lately the seat heater is on and it creeps me out. I'll be driving along minding my own business and next thing I know it's like I just peed my pants, all warm and creepy feeling. I'll admit it's not as bad as when you're using a toilet at the airport and you sit down only to find the seat all warm, that is so gross. :flush:

I have them in the SS, leather heated seats, and they're great in the winter for warming up those special parts. :D

dont care for them myself
dont like a sweaty arse:rofl:
I've got them in the SS and the V. The SS is nice because you can heat your back and underside. The V is nice with the Recaro's they heat evenly and not too much through the suede insert.
On a longer trip they feel great to get that one part in your back feeling better.

My wife has them in her Lexus ES350. The heating in the winter does kind of creep you out when you're not expecting it. Her car has the cooling (AC) seats for summer and that is a really neat feature. No more getting out after a long summer trip with a "sweaty" back!
:yesnod:
I have them in my CTS and use them all the time.
They are a must have IMO. I hate being cold. If only I had them.

My truck has them.
I use them occasionally on the bitter cold (think subzero) days when the leather is as soft and pliable as concrete.
The seats heat up within seconds, a whole lot quicker than the interior does.
Once the hot air is blowing, the seat warmers get turned off. Even at the lowest setting, they do get too warm once the rest of the interior is up to a comfortable temp.

Heated/cooled/massage seats, multi-zone climate control to a tenth of a degree, electric windows, parking sensors.... how our parents survived long enough to conceive children is beyond me...
Maybe if people wore appropriate clothing for the weather... naw, makes too much sense...

And there wasn't even remote control back then!!!

I'm surprised there wasn't a decline in the birthrate after the TV Remote and the Birth Control Pill were invented... I mean isn't that why people had kids back then?

Love mine in my Denali, even more fun to turn the passenger one on high before someone hops in and like 3 minutes later, the "why the hell is my azz burning?!?!" comes out!

My wife's Z71 Tahoe has them and they are nice in the winter. Weird though, my Z71 pick up has cloth seats.

I have a 2004 Z71 Silverado pickup, with leather (and seat heat). I bought it used though, so not totally sure how the various option packages were bundled.

I am sure the heated seat option is for leather but it's odd that I have a Z71 with cloth seats. It was my FIL's. It was given to me when he died.

Leather is more popular on the Tahoe/Yukons, but is optional on those too...A buddy of mine had a (otherwise loaded) Yukon with cloth seats...he looked long and hard to find one though, but he specifically didn't want leather.

I have them in mine. Nice in the winter time. The drivers side just quit working for some reason though. Need to get it checked it. Dealer near work wants $96 just to look at it. Could be switch or.... worse. That's the downside of not keeping everything simple - when it breaks, it doesn't impact the car, but it is something that doesn't work so needs to be corrected which is $$$. Let's face it, repairs suck.
