With all these years, I have never bought a ring. Pretty good, very solid. Stripes and Stars on the flag are a bit raised.

Sterling silver, 18k gold trim and enamel on the flag. Rank and name engraved on the inside.

Why do you have Lt. Smith's ring?

10 stripes and 20 stars?
That would bug the shit out of me.

I think if we can simply re-name Ft. Bragg, Ft. Hood, and other historic military installations, we can delete a few stripes and a few stars, don't you think? Probably all tied in with the '1619 project' and DIE.

20 stars is the 1818-1819 US flag.

I was going to make a joke about it being when he served, but didn't want to risk being disrespectful.

Been wearing this Jostens 10K gold aquamarine stone since 2001 when I made Chief. I wear it all the time when I go out, but not around the house. Jostens has a life time guarantee, sent it back because I chipped the stone, they replaced with new, no charge or shipping. :seasix:

Agree.

I don't do the jewelry thing. No rings. No watch. No neck chain. Zero. Zip.
Hell, I don't even like keys or change in my pocket. And I don't carry a wallet.

The only "jewelry" I still wear every day are these: :seasix:

I wear my college ring. Not a big name school but I am proud to have graduated.
Worked full time and went to school full time for my last two years. Also got married during that time

i have several to choose from..... :leaving:

at present, i wear my wedding ring on my left ring finger, and a silver ring with a Christian cross on it on my right ring finger. also wear 2 necklaces under my shirt, one a gold cross inset with diamonds from my mom and grandmother, and a shorter chain with my wife's wedding ring and a ring from my mom.

both rings were given to me by my wife, so they, and the necklaces have meaning to me.

I mean, that's all very nice, but the question is, do you pity the fool?

Ha ! I remember when it was fashionable to drill a hole in a silver dollar and wear it on a chain around your neck, I think I still have a couple "standing liberty" dollars with the hole.

I only wear two: wedding ring and a Tiger Eye my grandmother gave me back in the early eighties. I do carry my Dad's high school ring and one of my Mom's on my keychain.

That ring reminds me of those goofy Concealed Carry badges some fools, somewhere will buy: https://www.badgeandwallet.com/concealed-carry

I do wear a Vietnam-era veterans ball cap on Veteran's Day though - the ONLY time I do it.

Dont remember that "fad". My drilled coin has a lot more meaning than just a dollar with a hole in it....:yesnod:

As does mine, my departed Dad drilled the silver dollar for an ornament and I cherish it to this day.

The more I read the OP’s postings on military and vet matters, the more convinced I become he is a compete fraud.

Being in the electrical trade, I’ve never worn a ring.

Smart and totally understand, I worked with a man that got electrocuted on one of the "yellow gear" F-14 "huffers" used to start the planes when his watch got snagged in the wrong place - not a pretty way to go.
