I'm watching NHL playoff hockey, Golden Knights at Edmonton, they just mentioned Shakeys. Wow excellent Pizza.

Canadian Bacon Pizza, as soon as it came out of the oven it was covered in fresh sliced tomatoes

Did my interwebby research, says they were in FL, but I cannot recall.
IMO, the best pizza will always be a one-shop mom and pop owner.

Says Shakey's was based in Sacramento, pretty certain GTO Dood can provide some good stories.

Grew up eating it in SoCal. Favorite post-game hangout.

Even better when I was a poor 2Lt in Los Angeles, Shakey's does all you can eat lunch. Salad, pizza, fried chicken and Mojo Potatoes. Less than 10 bucks.

Lots of inconspicuous doggie bags leaving that place and headed back to base. Definitely stretch it to 3 meals.

Used to be a Shakey's here in town. I guess it has been gone for better than 20 years. Always liked their food.
