Trump is definitely scared of losing the nomination to DeSantis. Why else would he be focusing so much on someone that hasn't even declared he is running with lies and ads?
Democrats are scared of DeSantis because he has a much better chance of winning than Trump does.

DeSantis raped me when I visited Florida. I was at a party with some friends who don't remember any such party, I don't know where the house was, and I am afraid of flying because I can't be in enclosed spaces after the trauma of being raped by DeSantis, except when I go on vacation every year. Unfortunately, neither Texas nor Florida allow me to pursue my civil case against DeSantis for this rape that occurred over 20 years ago. I can only hope that DeSantis' other rape victims will come forward within the FL statute of limitations and sue him, so we can begin building the paper trail that will make him stop running for president.

I mean, as a kid, I had Summer jobs that earned income, but that was for mowing lawns, scooping ice cream, that sort of thing. I never got wire transfers from mysterious shadowy foreign sources.

I'll take a 4 year reprieve from what we've got now, a full throated race to the bottom, Great Replacement, Marxism, CRT, blm, White hatred. I just want a little break from that, before the inevitable crash of the US.

A Mesa County jury has reached a verdict in the misdemeanor trial against former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters. The jury found her not guilty of obstructing a peace officer but guilty of the second misdemeanor of obstructing government operations.
Peters was accused of obstruction for failing to hand over an iPad prosecutors claim she used to videotape a court hearing against a judge’s ruling.
The trial lasted two full days. The jury went on late Thursday afternoon and returned with its verdict just before 11 Friday morning.
Peters and her supporters filled the court hallways this morning. They sang and prayed.
Peters will go on trial for election fraud in August.

He promised to get 3 black athletes caught shoplifting in China released and did so, he got NATO to shoulder some responsibility and he sent aid and a hospital ship to NY while Cuomo was screwing things up - and plenty of other things as well. He backed down Lil' Kim in North Korea and Putin didn't want to mess with him. He also directed a conditional withdrawal from Afghanistan which Biden promptly f**cked up.

I think he'll give it a helluva try, but in DC he will be exponentially outgunned.
I am 100% certain, there is a think tank playing out a hundred different scenarios on dealing with each candidate should they be elected.

D.C. is a much larger, filthier pool. Florida finally got a handle on election fraud in Broward and Miami-Dade counties, after literally decades of shenanigans. I don't believe they totally stamped out fraud there, just tamped it down a bit, explaining how DeSantis managed to pump up his numbers upon his reelection.
As others have stated, D.C. is a whole 'nuther animal, an animal totally unfriendly to anything A) conservative, or B) a threat to the institutional state.
I do agree that Trump made a bunch of hiring mistakes, but hopefully after everything that has transpired, after so many burned their ships, so to speak, the pool of talent Trump will have to draw on will be a lot more clear. And he certainly knows better than to take staffing advice from proven snakes like Cocaine Mitch.
As to leaks, look at who leaked about Trump.....literal deep state plants. The perfect phone call? Some chick Trump didn't bring in, rather, the deep state insisted be on the call. Chow Thief Vindma'am? Again, not a Trump pick. I promise you this will all be mustered against a President DeSantis, whether in '24, or '28. Bet it.

He needs more experience in negotiating. DeSantis talked big with Disney but didn’t get everything he said he would with that deal.

I would like to see Trump go back to DC and finish much needed business. He may not make it four years, considering how DC is.
Desantis is backed by Bush, I am not sure he can do anything in DC.
