Pre-Floyd I was downtown Minneapolis one night taking pics. A block away a group of three young blacks started coming my way. I was *aware* of my situation -alone, dark, a few thousand dollars worth of camera gear with me- but I wasn’t particularly afraid. Just aware. The three walked by and asked what I was shooting. We chatted for a minute and they went on their way.

Post-Floyd I wouldn’t take those pictures. I won’t go downtown Minneapolis with all that camera gear.

Where I once saw nothing but a few black kids, now I see criminals. Benefit of the doubt has left the building. I see two black kids driving in a ****in’ car these days I’m suspicious. It’s ****ed to assume the worst of people but that’s what they’ve wrought. Congratulations assholes.
