Utah quality pics, these have a signature instead of a stamp since they were commissioned. If ot has a Pumpkinvine forge stamp, it was sold at a show.
I'll set the bevels and hone, then ship, tomorrow afternoon.
Working on other orders for April, Then bust hump for the Blade Show.

Wow!:cool1:
Thank you!
I hope you enjoyed crafting these, as much as I will using and owning them!
No doubt, they will be handed down to my daughter, the graduate Chef!
So the larger knife, I had seen similar while traveling through Spain and Portugal in the fish markets, being yielded like a third hand. Amazingly talented men, with years of experience filleting fish.
PM payment details please!

Man are they beautiful!
So, the large filleting knife is made from a leaf spring?
Are springs a special metal or treatments?
Do these knives need to be oiled or conditioned?
Asking here, for educational purposes!:D
Can’t wait for them to arrive!

With a hollow handle?
No.
Hammered out of a piece of 5160 or 1095/01, Yes.

I got an invitation a couple years ago that I politely declined. I've only watched it once, when a friend of mine was on it. Most of, if not all of the problems encountered are staged just for drama. At the Blade Show, most of the contestants are in one area, and they aaaalllll wear Kilts. :funniest:
I do not look good in a Kilt.
Stuff of nightmares.

The Big Fillet knife was forged from a leaf spring, 5160 steel tough as hell, have to anneal it twice to work it. Sprayed with a mix of distilled water and Walmart gun blue, 50/50. It'll have a coat of honing oil on it when it arrives, gotta clean it off with soap and water, then a light coat of Olive or cooking oil. Unprotected, in a damp environment, it will rust.
Stainless kitchen knife is easy. Clean it after each use, wipe it dry.
You wont hurt the ironwood when it gets wet, as it is a heavy and oily wood.
Just wipe it off.

Wtf?
They were supposed to be ordering parts for the plant. Someone in procurement thought it odd when they saw an order for wedding rings go through. After some investigation they noticed a lot of odd orders from those two. Some fancy knives among them. :yesnod:
