video poker - what's your stratgey?

not sure im doing this right.

if i have low pairs, i'll keep them and toss any other cards to try to get the set or another pair with it. seems to be working more often than not.

This is what I do unless I have 3 to a RF, 4 to a flush or 4 to a straight, then I'll toss one of the cards from the pair.

Oh yeah, and BTW, the game room has been very good to me this morning. Caught 4 of a kind in LIR and made probably another 40-50k in VP. :D

I got to hit the Rf . I did it 2wice in 24 hours back when it hardly paid. :rolleyes:

I think I still have the highest on LIR with a straight flush at max bet.:cheers:

As the worst LIR and VP player I have no meaningful advice but over the past three days I did very well.This only proves that everyone can get lucky once in a while.I'm predicting I'll be broke again in a week.

One thing I tried that seemed to slow the rate of my losses in LIR was when making the max bet of 500 I use a combination of chip value to get there.I hope someone else tries this and reports any positive results......:)
