Lost the three/four clutch pack the last week of November in the '94 vert. Only has 75k miles. Getting the original trans remanned and upgraded a little.
Hate to fork out the cash but hate to do it myself worse and it not go right. Pulling it once is one thing. At age 62 pulling it twice is another. I'll get a three year, unlimited mile warranty on it so if anything goes wrong it will be their problem.
Been driving the '96 coupe. It has the performance axle package so is a little quicker off the line but doesn't feel near as solid of a car. To be fair it does have twice the miles at 145k.
Should have it back in a week or so. I sure have missed it. I'll be selling the '96 then.

Some times your better off in the long run just to pay the man. Ive had a check engine light on my C7 for awhile now. Never bothered me or affected the way the car ran. But now Im thinking about selling it so the light had to be out! Took it to the local Chevy dealer and found it was only a fuel pressure sensor low voltage. But...who wants to buy a car with an engine light on? So....$417 bucks later, the light is out and the Vette runs just exactly as good as it did with the light on.

I just didnt want to fuk with it myself....got too many other projects to work on...:yesnod:

Hmmmm, sounds like an automatic problem.

What does your husband drive?

edit:
Holy shit, my account was hijacked!
I would never say anything like that.

(but all my Corvettes have been manuals)

Just chain yanking bud.
God luck with it.

A couple of the previous Vettes were sticks. With old age comes gout and arthritis. I could drive the stick car two or three days, then proceed to limp two or three more.
You live long enough concessions must be made. Both of mine are now autos. Not as much fun, but still fun to drive. C'est la vie.:shots:

Both of mine are 6Ms, at 68 I have no issues. I do know that my day is coming.

I hear you. I'm 70, have gout, arthritis, neuropathy, and sciatica.

2.5 years ago, my left quadriceps tendon ruptured, and was torn off
the knee-cap. Took over 1 year to recover enough to work the clutch in my '85. Dr. rated recovery at 95%.
Function is somewhat less than that, but I can work the clutch ok.
Last year I bought a manual C3, just couldn't do the Automatic.
When at a stop sign or light, car goes into neutral.

We have no problem talking about cars. It's the C4 talk that is unacceptable.

I like C4's but yet again I like ALL Corvettes.
