Hope you don't get stuck with it. Had a buddie that his kid polished his. He got rid of it cause it was a menace on the road blinding other drivers has its downside. :sadangel:

Ad is from bring a trailer.

Do you have one large enough to haul that?

Asking for Porter.

Store it at my house, the weather is good 11 1/2 month out of the year. Plus i live in a gated community. And i would only use it once in a while. :yesnod:

I know a man who recently spent 6 figures to restore a 1975 31 foot Airstream. (he may have spent 200K or more, serious)

I am going to build him a storage barn for it with HVAC, full hookups, finished interior, etc., at a cost approaching 300 grand. :D

For 24k that is an absolute steal. One HELL of a nice rig and a hell of a score. Needs to be stored inside, for sure.

I know a man that spent over 200k and was on the road 31 days out of the month with a super model wife at home. :yesnod:

I remember some 36 years ago the ex and I bought a 30 some odd foot camper trailer that was parked down on a campground with hookups, at the north tip of where the Potomac river and Chesapeak Bay meet, for about a mile on the road into it was all campground we used to store your sailboat there too....only cost a grand a year to rent the spot.....place was known as point lookout it was not usable for about 4 months in winter.......I don't remember the brand of camper, but it was not rounded off, square corners and white outside.....paid like 3 grand for it, used of course, and sold it for near 4 grand some 6 years later when she wanted the divorce.....

It is beautiful so was my friends when his kids all chipped in and polished it for him. They took off on a month long trip they had been looking forward to. The first day the reflection blinded a grandmother with her grandkids causing a major accident. I am not going into all the details but their trip never happened. :sadangel:

Don't mean to piss on your parade just a heads up.:seasix:

I live on a large lake and we have plenty of campgrounds . Air Stream is a very popular trailer. They exude class and for the most part you see late model big ticket trucks pulling them.-:seasix:

Those are retro-cool!

We live in bear country. I make day trips to desolate destinations often. However I wouldn't sleep outside in a tent, nor RV anywhere nearby other than inside a structure surrounded by a secure perimeter or possibly an elevated cabin via ladder access. YMMV.

PSA:
Here's the results of a bear ripping the door off an RV to gain access.
Something as simple as bottle of scented shampoo can send one into a frenzy.

Hope to see you on the road!

With that high polish exterior, you'll see him everywhere....probably even from the space station.

bump, so folks have an opportunity to discuss something, ANYTHING but the dumpster fire currently captivating the forum

Also, hoping OP will post up about the trip to go pick up that shinyboi trailer.

Love Airstreams-to look at. Functionally, very spartan.

They have a cult following. And the OP example looks pretty good and appears to be an older redo. I think the price is ok if you can live with the current decor and condition. But start a restoration on one of these puppys and youzza...be prepared spend some serious cash. :willy:
