One of my Dachshunds was a registered therapy dog. Absolutely hilarious. You'd bring him into a hospital room, drop him on someone's lap and he'd roll over on his back for belly rubs. He was QUITE the hit with the patients.

I have seen truly amazing things with regard to therapy dogs and very sick, old people in nursing homes. Absolutely incredible what they can do.

He is trying to win you over, and turn you into a "dog person".

I always wanted a dog, but my wife always said "no". Our family became very good friends with a neighborhood family who had "Brandy". Brandy was the sweetest medium-sized mutt, who was wicked smart, and quickly figured out the situation, and WORKED my wife for literally years.

A few days after we brought our GSD "Miss Belle" home, Brandy came over and saw we had gotten a dog. She was beside herself! Thrilled that she had won my wife over so that a dog lover (me) could have a dog.

Sadly, Brandy would pass away less than a year later from cancer. I will always remember her fondly. :sadangel: :yesnod:
