Putting Lund bug deflector on my truck. Got the damn thing on about half inch below the bottom of front edge of hood instead of even with it!!:issues:
That damn 3m double sided stick tape will not let go!!! Have to use heat gun/WD-40 to get it off and remove tape. No goodo nomore!

Heat gun is about your only hope, and even then it will probably be toast if the plastic warps during removal.

Snapped a good sized chunk off the bug deflector on my truck. Walking past in sub-freezing temps and it grabbed the shoulder of my leather jacket. Could replace, it's held on with screws, but haven't bothered. Feels bad man, but adds character.

If it's 1/2" wide, it's probably 3M 06384 and that's what I'd recommend getting to reattach it. Easiest way to get the bug shield off is to cut the foam, then dissolve the adhesive with either PPG DD330 or naphtha. If you can't find naphtha in the paint section of HD/Lowe's, Zippo lighter fluid will work too. Do not use lacquer thinner. You'll be there forever with Goo-Gone/Goof-Off.

The longer you leave it on, the stronger the adhesive bond.
