It's been my responsibility to take out the trash since around 1967. So that's somewhere close 56 years......

Who's the trashman at VBOT, it's piling up......?:confused5:

I was walking my trash cans down to the end of the driveway last month and ended up on my ass. Falling down at 60 isn’t even funny.

one of the VBOT "items" that gets placed in the trash.... keeps jumping out of the garbage can and gets right back into trolling here.

you need to replace your garbage cans with ones that have lockable lids.

I would refuse to take care of the refuse, but I still stuck with the garbage and bi-cycling.....:dance:

We're a bit thicker skinned over here than that.

No need for perma-bans. If you don't like the content, don't read it. :seasix:

I hear ya alright. I feel the same.

But there is a line to be drawn with intentional trolls though.

I hear you brother. I did not mention it much if at all but at age 75 (A little over 2 years ago) I tripped and took a fall into a drainage ditch on the side of the road. Went down about 2' real hard but managed to protect my recent knee surgery. It was interesting for about 10 weeks, I hurt from ribs and a pulled back, could not ride/ get in my ATV, boat or Vette, only in a good car for quite a while and my wife drove! It could have been a lot worse!

The ONLY thing stock about my '72 vette convertible is the chrome bumpers, I lowered the seat, put in a late shark TT wheel/column/rack steering, Hydro boost brakes, and altered all suspension......rides great and handles pretty decent.....so my LO back/spine don't hurt when setting in the car now.....but getting in/out is a PITA, TTWIG.....

I always have taken the can(s) to the curb.
Became twice the job when they started the recycling crap.
Gotta admit, sometimes I get lazy and just throw everything in the garbage can when recycling can is empty or near empty.

If I end up in jail, you doods will know why.

No trash pickup where I live. Satellite refuse center is only a ten minute drive, however, and is open Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays. I generally go twice a week. Bagged trash only, however. If I need to get rid of anything too large for bags, I have to go into town (@ 25 minutes) and hit the large dump.

I keep a FARM USE truck near one of my barns and load it with construction debris. When it gets full, I run it into town to the big dump, unload it, and then treat my wife to lunch somewhere. It's our "Big day out".

I take our trash and recycle to the road every week. Trash goes out on one day and the recycle goes out a couple days later. Its about a 1/4 mile down my hilly driveway to the road. Because we have animals, most up here have coon cages by the road. Any other place I have lived you always had to hire a outfit to do trash but thats not the case up here the town does it free as a town service.

Yes it realy is free as we pay no town tax as our town is small and gets all its operating money from county sales taxes and gets a share of the money taken in by the famous Saratoga Race Track and next door racino. Our very conservative town supervisor is real good at doing things like that. :hurray: WE are the only town out of 19 in the county that does not have a town tax levy!

Bear proof container at the curb is mandatory here. Not doing that, so I just haul it to the, er, material recovering facility, or to the dump.

They can request whatever they want.:seasix: Reality, if reparations are paid, it will be nowhere near $5 million. :yesnod:

In what way is taking money from someone who never owned a slave and giving it to a person who never was a slave just?

Present day generations cannot change history or the actions of ancestors.

How about MY ****ing reparations for Prussia being run over and stolen by the Huns?

This is our late Swissy Mochi. He decided himself to help out by grabbing the handle and either running up to the end of the driveway carrying most of the weight or helping to bring it back down.

BK (before kids) I shared a burn barrel with my neighbor, composted my garbage and any organic waste, compacted my trash into a single 32 gallon plastic barrel and hauled that twice/ year to the transfer station.

Demolished a room in my basement to open up the space and the drywall all got laid over the garden to over-winter into soil amendment. Pulled all the nails from the lumber for re-use. Burned the carpet in the barrel.

Once composted the feather stuffing out of an old couch. My compost set-up would devour nearly everything.
