This is a 4.0 V6 with a 5-speed manual. I did have to put a clutch slave cylinder in this but the clutch is original. I've rebuilt the suspension twice. New brake calipers (original rotors) and new parking brake cable. The headlights are hand built by me, Miromoto xenon arc, projection lenses. You won't see those on any other Mustang. Twelve years ago we put in a cat-back dual exhaust with mufflers from a GT, GT sway bars. The car handles badass.

Plus it was made at the Ford plant in Cologne, Germany. With a dual exhaust and X-pipe, even left-right firing order, flat plane crankshaft, bigger cylinders than the 5.0, sounds Euro-wicked. :seasix:

Yet, but the stock V6 in the Mustang, in 2015, had less HP than the Ecoboost 4, ZI believe Ford stop using the V6 in Stangs around 2017 and offered only the E4 or V8:

2015 Mustang
V6 300 hp / 280 tq
E4 310 hp / 320 tq

The Eco can also get you another 40+ hp with a CAI and tune.

E4 goes 10.9 at 129 mph

But I couldn't warm up to them. The GF said "why do you want one of those silly little things when you have REAL GTO's?

Hell, a new Camry will wax either of my GTO's.

But back in the day, when I was a young man, the GTO's saw plenty of duty

destroying 5.0 Mustangs and Z-28's and Trans Ams.

I'm content to rest on my laurels and keep spouting. The older I get, the better I was.

Sad day, my daughter sold her "Screaming Yellow" 2005 Mustang today. It has close to 200k on the odometer and ran perfectly. No rust anywhere. Mike's paint job from 7 years ago still looks flawless. Some lucky dude forked over $7k and got a cream puff.

Strats is gone now (RIP) but he mis-interpreted what I stated. I simply pointed out that the new V6 Mustangs can blow the doors off of the '60's Mustangs with 289 V8 engines. I was not comparing them to Pontiac 389's, which would blow the doors off of any Ford of their era. Unless it was a 427 in an AC Cobra.
