View Full Version : Starting To Come Around
Today was the first day I actually felt like doing something. Been quite lithargic these past 6 months or so, I actually had some pep. Put some tunes on in the clubroom and wiped down the truck and the honey's new ride. Even felt like playing with the trains. I hope these days continue. :seasix:

I was literally on death's doorstop this time last year. Took me awhile to recover. I know what you mean.

Glad you are feeling better. Don’t overdo it.
I have a suggestion…….maybe put the C5 torch red and the 82CE on the same carrier.:D

Big bastids. I hope they don't derail on top of a car. :smash:

Installed an anti-derailment cable inside and outside of all the curves, so far so good.

That looks awesome.
Back one of the slower times in my career I got the idea of working with model railroaders to tweak their track designs to include sirals and superelevation into their curved sections of track. I decided against it- not enough potential return for the buck.
It would be cool, though, for you to do that on those curves.
Very, very cool. In 1973 on a trip back to Indiana to visit my grandparents, I found my dad's old Lionel O guage set from 1939. My uncle had added to it immensely from 1947-1950. It had the steam engine, the silver and red Santa Fe diesels, Plasticville, moving cows and milk men with jugs, a coal elevator, all the stuff. And a 275 watt dual transformer to run two trains at once. I set it up and it worked after 25 years in boxes, so brought it home in the back of our Suburban. Set it up in my basement room and ran the hell out of it. Got the smoke maker in the steam locomotive repaired at a hobby shop and used the smoke pellets, etc. When I outgrew it, boxed it up and stored it. 20 years later, sent the whole mess back east so my uncle's son could set it up for HIS kids. 3 generations later, still working fine. Great looking cave, Sir!!
