For the most part my watching of TV (cable) is things like Modern Marvels, how do they build it shows, engineering disasters, science stuff, weapons, war shows especially that big debacle called WW1.

I don't mind the crickets so much, but the bullfrogs and peepers are deafening in the summer. I've got two spring-fed ponds down over the back hill and they set up shop there and make noise all night. It's not city, but it's not exactly quiet either. I realize that my particular lifestyle would not be for everyone, but I could never imagine going back to the subdivisions outside Washington. I did that for too many years.
