1946 - Spruce goose in Long Beach, Ca. Star House Movers, Inc.

Around 1990 on my California visit saw the Spruce Goose and adjacent Queen Mary. Think it was a $15 fee. Neither impressed me. The Queen Mary walked in one door and along the hall and out another door, that was the extent of the ship tour. :shots:

I've been to Long Beach when the Spruce Goose was parked next to the Queen Mary. I like both but being an aircraft mechanic at the time the Spruce Goose was what I went there to see. Even though I worked on C5's and 747's (among other heavies) I was super impressed with the Spruce Goose mainly because it was all wood construction.
Ships just don't float my boat. :) The Queen Mary is just another ship.

I’m certain that scaffolding in the bed of those trucks was OSHA approved.
