OMG !! My Father Discovered E-mail...What A PITA !! [Archive]

Dupe city here now.:ohnoes:...I've seen all his crap that he sends, so I told him, and he got pissed at me..."Well then delete them !" he tells me....He sends me stuff that my cool uncles have already been sending me, and sometimes on the same day now....Man, I just delete everything he sends w/o even looking at it, now. Well, I'm glad he's still around though....Rant over.

Same here with my stepfather. Been that way for years. But the worst part is all the political BS emails I get from him. I delete about 90% of what he sends me on the title alone.

I set up a rule in Outlook. From sender = my dad and title includes = FW, send to trash.

One of the guys from the gun club puts this in every single email he sends

If you forward this, PLEASE REMOVE all email addresses before you send it on and use the BCC area when forwarding to friends.

It would be one thing if he communicated with me on a personal level, but forwarding crap that I've seen already, political, military, and prayer stuff that i need to forward to others, or I'll have horrible things happen, is a PITA...Therein lies my frustration. Yep, I'm damn glad he still around, but the e-mail thing has to go....

I'm so confused!

My dad has emails and forwards a few things. No biggie. Heck, my ex father in law forwards things to me, and I don't let that tick me off, either. I'm glad to hear from them even if it's just forwarded emails. <shrug> They do both know that I don't like blanket forwards, and neither one does that. :)

I'd pay money to be able to get emails from my mom.

Set up a FB page just for her and send her a request. Then you can share what you like with her (pictures for instance, grandmas love pictures!) and doubtless make her very happy. :)

Set it so only your friends see the info and none of her friends will see it, thus "protecting" you from them.

My uncle sends stuff to both of us, and my dad forwards everything that he sends to me, so I get it twice. It piles up....Ya, my uncle sends some great stuff.... I mentioned it to dad once, he got pissed, so I just take it like a son. I'll know that I'll miss it when he's gone ....
