Wher's the Kaboom? 2012 - YouTube
I stayed a few times at Volcano house amazing place:seasix:
I loved nighttime trips to the Volcano.
I was at the Krakatoa Quake. That was a real biggie. One of my South Pacific Adventures. :cert:
Hawaii should be sold to the highest bidder.
Hawaii should be sold to the highest bidder.
My late mom lived there from 1985-2021. I've been there a bajillion times.
Been to Florida 3 times.
I much prefer Florida. Better food, not land-locked, better/more cultures, much, much more to do.
I think we can turn Yadkin around on Florida if we are persistent. :seasix:
Poipu Kauai would live there year-round if the summers did not suck like Florida. You get some of the best seafood in Kauai. There is a little market near Poipu where the owner goes fishing in the morning and brings his catch to his market around 2 PM. Some of the best yellow tail ever eaten raw. Even Costco has freshly caught fish from local fishermen.
My best friend got married there in 2003. We stayed a week. He got married at the wreck of the Hotel where Blue Hawaii was filmed that got destroyed by a 1994 Hurrican. Kauai is my favorite island, as it is low key. We had GREAT seafood at a little place there, forget the name.
Kauai is like how all of Hawaii was up until the 1960's or so. Kind of like how Baja Mexico used to be before all the drug cartels. Sleepy, cheep, beautiful, and relaxing.

I was in maui once, 8 days, won a sales contest, I may have cheated, took the wife, drank a lot, ate dolphin for breakfast, AND drove up a volcano, damn long drive with lots of twisties in a weakarse rental, not fun, again long damn drive.
I have no use for volcanoes, someone should plow them down, would save a lot of lives, and gasoline and tires.

Most worthless state in the union.
It's the most liberal state in the union. And politically, very, very corrupt as a result of that. They have their own train to nowhere, even.

You can't blame Sandy Cortez for that. She tried to get a train built from Hawaii to the mainland. These are the kind of progressive solutions this country needs.
FWIW, Texas also has a probably going nowhere plan to build a high speed train from Houston to Dallas. Of course, that ill fated venture is being funded with private money, not the taxpayer's money, unlike California's publicly funded Big Rail Fail.

Hawaii is a net taker not provider tot the union.
As I have posted, sell the islands to the highest bidder. Pay off all debts.

California's train got voted in as a privately funded operation as well. All that changed when the wheels started to fall off.

GOV is too stupid to understand that if the idea was a good one, the private sector would already be in it.

This is what I think should happen to all old tires. Ship them to active volcanoes and feed them.

Or plow them, leave the pool intact, sell tickets like Yellowstone, open a few hotels nearby, and a C&W bar as nothing goes better with volcano pools than country music and some ice-cold BLs.
Make sure to have a few pipes near the top, if activity starts, open up the pipes and send to the ocean, ocean is boundless so dump as much overflow as you want.
If it is a spewer, lower an aluminum dome over it, or go with a glass one and sell more tickets for those daring to hang off climbing ropes--huge money here folks.
Easy shit, give me a tougher problem(s).

From what I have seen on my 4 trips to Hawaii the Japanese own a big share of that place already.
I got to admit its kind of funny you go into a supposed Italian restaurant with a name like Giuseppe Rossie's and all the people working there are Japanese.:D

socialists will bitch, as guarantees them two crooked senators and two fraudulent congresspeople every session.
If they are net negative, we can sell to the japanese, as they like it a lot, at least when I was there 29 years ago.
I will not miss that long, windy, slowarse volcano torture road,,,

The Japanese bought most of Hawaii in 1990. That's when the big change started with the building boom and the eradication of historic areas and places. The Japanese don't give a shit about conservation or history. They are about showing off their wealth and getting wealthier. The average Japanese tourist spent $1000 per day in Hawaii, last time I checked, 15 years ago. Now it's probably $3000 per day.

It really cracks me up when Joe tourist, visits a very touristy section of the island and then thinks they know the Hawaiian islands. Japanese only visit the Honolulu/Waikiki section of Oahu to shop high-end stores. High-end purse and watch stores such as Rolex have stores on both sides of the street. Japanese like to travel in groups. That's why so many hotels in Waikiki are Japanese-owned. Go to the north end you will find no Japanese. Oahu is a shit hole. We only go to visit friends that live there and a night in Waikiki to shop and dine. Maui is another shit hole with only Japanese in high tourist areas. Maui reminds me of southern California. If I want to see the turds who live in SoCal, I can drive to LA. On the other islands, it is rare to see any Japanese tourists. Alabama mini tractor rider needs to get off his mini tractor and visit areas west of the Mississippi. Getting out of a bubble and seeing how real people live is healthy. GTO having nice lunch in Truckee
I lived there for 12 years, left in 2012.
Oahu is a tourist island. And the Japanese, Koreans and all other tourists do go to the Hanauma Bay, Blow Hole, North Shore, Chinamens Hat and Haleiwa. tp name a few places away from Oahu.. So, take your skewed views to another planet.
And, they do go to Hawaii, Maui and Kauai.
If I were a betting man I would say you are a profiler and a racists.

You mean like the real people in Alabama who built your van?
I lived on Oahu as a kid in the seventies, Dad was stationed on Hickam AFB. Visited Maui for many years with my wife. We talked about visiting the big island or Kauai but never got around to it.
I haven’t been back in about a decade and after watching how local government operated during the WuFlu scam, probably never will. Better destinations at half the travel time, in every direction. :yesnod:
