If you don't like Egg Nog, it's probably because you're buying that store-bought crap.

This homemade recipe contains 3 cups of booze per gallon and tastes GREAT!

Do yourself a favor and Try it!

Best Egg Nog On The Planet

To make 1 Gallon:

2 Quarts Half and Half
1 Dozen Fresh Eggs
1 tablespoon Vanilla
1 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
2 Cups Sugar
1 Cup Rum
1 Cup Brandy
1 Cup Bourbon
Ground Nutmeg

In a blender, beat eggs until lemon yellow.
Add Sugar, Vanilla, and Salt and blend well.
Pour into gallon container (used milk jug with screw top).
Add remaining ingredients.

Shake well before serving. Jug with screw-top = no mess (ask me how I know), sprinkle with Nutmeg.

Refrigerate unused portion. Good for about a week stored @ 40*.

I usually mark the jug so it's not mistaken for milk.

The flavors will all come together after about 6 hours in the fridge, and will be infinitely more mellow than if you try it right after you make it.

Don't Drink and Drive with this stuff as it is loaded with booze (19% of the volume is liquor +/-) and is so smooth that you won't realize how schnokered you are until it's too late.

Happy Holidays OT!

The recipe sounds great but raw eggs and the risk of Salmonella scare me off.

Buy pasteurized eggs. Yes they are a real thing.

I made that a few times over the last decade, had to cut the booze back a bit because it was strong as hell!!!

The longer you let that stuff sit, the stronger it got.

I bought a couple of those last year, tastes good but kinda thin for an egg nog based drink.

Yeah, little bit. It's got a pretty good mouth feel but maybe slightly thin compared to some recipes.

No need to peruse it again, the recipe has been the same for the last 20 years.

A neighbor asked if I knew any good egg nog recipes years ago. I copied that one and gave it to her. She has made it every year since then and puts a quart jar of it in my mailbox every year. I finished this years a couple days ago. Those who haven’t tried it, are missing out, I don’t really like many of the ingredients but melded together after a few hours…magic.
