At Least 5 Dead, 18 Wounded, in Gay Nightclub Attack in Colorado

At least five people were killed and at least 18 others wounded in an attack just before midnight Saturday on a gay nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

CNN reports that the attack was carried with a firearm Club Q and 911 calls about the shooting started coming in at 11:57 p.m.

Colorado Springs Police Lt. Pamela Castro said police have located one individual in the club believed to be the suspect. “At this point in time, the suspect is being treated, but is in custody,” she said.

NBC News also quoted Castro saying, “We have numerous people transported to multiple local hospitals via ambulance and police cruisers. The hospitals are helping us to notify family who have been injured.”

Club Q used a Facebook post to thank first responders:

Colorado adopted background checks on private gun sales months after the December 14, 2012, attack on Sandy Hook Elementary School. Gabby Giffords’ gun control group*describes*Colorado’s background check gun control as “universal background checks,” which means private sales require the same background check as a retail sale.

Moreover, Colorado has a red flag law, a ban on the sale of “high capacity” magazines, and gun storage requirements, among other controls.

Wow! So all that harassment of law abiding gun owners didn't help you, Colorado? And cops have the shooter but won't identify said shooter? Coulter rule in effect here.

Aldrich had a previous run-in with police in 2021, when police arrested him for allegedly making a bomb threat against two homes in Colorado Springs, according to KRDO.

It was reported to police at the time that Aldrich, then 21, had created a homemade explosive device and had weapons and ammunition. Police arrived to the scene and Aldrich refused to surrender, but was later taken into custody.

Aldrich faced two counts of felony menacing and three counts of first-degree kidnapping for the incident.

I live in the Springs. They have released no photos of the killer, including his booking photos from the bomb threat. In fact, that case was sealed, and nobody is admitting why.

This one was not in a bad neighborhood, and actually had a reputation with the police as being a "good" bar. Very few calls or complaints from neighbors. I didn't even know it was there until this morning.

Match that up against a few of the Hispanic bars a few miles south of there, that have been repeatedly shot up, and they actually looked like a decent business.

Thankfully, a few patrons stopped this guy and beat the living shit out of him before the police arrived. He went from the bar straight to the hospital with "undetermined" injuries. Should have made him eat his own rifle.

The Uvalde shooting disappeared from the MSM as soon as it became undeniable that that shooting was NOT caused by a lack of gun LAWS, but was in fact caused by a lack of ENFORCEMENT of laws already in place. That goes 100% against the liberal narrative, so the story died.

The more I read about this one, I suspect it is headed down the same path. IMO it will be history by the time we sit down for turkey dinner, if not before.

I had no idea what all that referred to other than the lib news always rattling it off their teleprompters. I don't know the difference with some of them and why they need special names or labels. They interviewed the combat veteran who took down the shooter on the evening news. Looks like the guy was there with his wife, his daughter, and his daughter's boyfriend (who was one of the deceased victims). Why on Earth would a family of straight people go to a gay club? :shrug:

It was in the news this morning. The Dad and Mom went with their daughter and her long term boyfriend to see a third person perform whom the kids were friends with also friends with long term. The parents took no offense, thought it as a hoot what the kid was doing and went to see them. The daughter's boyfriend was one of the folks who died. Dad said he had no issues with the show, because that's the sort of freedoms people in the US have as a result of the tours of duty he had served.

He apperntly tackled the "shooter" (Trying to be PC, they are saying "shooter" instead of shooter in the press now!)and knocked his rifle out of reach. Saw the guy had a psitol, took it and beat him with it. A drag queen jumped in and was kicking the "Shooter" to assist. They must have done a good job, the "shooter" looked brain damaged and had trouble talking at it's arrainment today.

Just like Pulse, another gay attacking gays. Press will ignore this and focus on the "guns" as an "issue".
