I'm always utilizing synonym and antonym look-ups, and historical database sources for personal improvement.

Used to prioritize learning things that interested me or had some tangible benefit. These days anything is fair game. My pursuit of knowledge hasn't faded, just got more general.

Ideas I can figure out on my own. As for vocabulary, read the dictionary when I was 12. Up until I hit about 40 years of age I had perfect memory recall. Not much sense rehashing that and I couldn't care less about all the new words being invented by social degenerates.

I can usually follow along after a sentence or two if they're willing to repeat themselves. Question then becomes do I want to hear what they have to say. That isn't always the case, but Gene's OK in my book.

As a retired engineer who is always building stuff around the farm, I can tell you that I still use some of my former skills to get projects done. Mostly trig.
