I got older in Monkey Co. Faryland, outside DC, and there is a town named Rockville, and of course a 4 lane commercial highway back in the Day....'72 or so, and behind a shopping center was some 2 story townhouse style apts. the first ex and I rented.....and so behind that development done in the '60's was an airport AND a drive in movie house......but the airport was shut down sometimes in the 60's......SO I BET that sort of scene may well have taken place there.....

I can almost smell those gag-worthy concession stand hot dogs cooking, but drink enough Colt .45 or Boone's Farm (back in the day) and you'd eat them anyway - and maybe even digest them.

I saw a lot stranger things than airplanes at the drive-in 60 years ago, most in the back seat of my '55 Buick.
